sorry bout that, every time I hit edit my pc glitched on me it's be -=evil=- as of late, but who is more stupid, the people who are trying to do this and expect money or the people actually bidding and expect points how sad is it on some of these people are bidding 50 60 dolalrs real money for non tangible points?? I dont get it

I once saw someone selling a useless account with hardly 100k in it for 300 US dollars...

and another guy who was selling every 1k for a dollar....

ive seen a lot of those in the past few months. The best ones are when they put in their neopets username so you can go and see the account...

it's sad yet tempting. we all know it's illegal but if some day, i decide to totally quit neopets, it's definitely tempting if i can convert all my neopts and item into cash. i am not afraid to say, i would consider it if there's a foolproof way to conduct such a deal.

I thought this kinda thing was against Neopets terms and conditions? *shrugs*

i remeber something similar happening in a couple of role playing games, where people would sell their items for real money, they actually earned a fair bit out of it.

of course, if the account name was posted, i would think they would be frozen as soon as neopets found out, as it is against the tc, but i wonder if this is just a scam to make people part with real money over nps which will never appear?

Some people become way too addicted tot hsi game. It took a Hacker, and a torturing summer camp to get me off. I used to fanatsize about it. Now, I'm somewhat normal, and somewhat passive toward the game. Like wohooo I found a rare item. Back to studying. A lot of people become attached to games because it's bettr than reality. If you could have a high social status, in a game world, and none in the real world, it's not so hard to decide which one to choose.

This kind of thing just makes me so angry. I've seen it over and over, people trying to sell np, items, even pets or accounts.

I report such things to ebay and to TNT. There's no way to "win" anything like that, as soon as TNT finds out that account is frozen and anyone who actually bids (not even winning bid) on such things is frozen too.

It is one of the things that is very clear in the T&C that no one is to try to sell anything from the site. It is also, as far as I know, against the rules of ebay to sell such things.

I suspect in many of these cases of np (or accounts) being sold that it is in fact a scam, the person selling is just trying to get some real money and the person who "won" would get nothing. And how could you complain to TNT? By trying to buy anything like that you're breaking the rules big time.

It is also very pathetic trying to get real money for virtual items and actually even thinking of paying real money for them.
