Jetsam Ace Action Figure is the latest thing to skyrocket in price.

It's only R85. The people are trying to pawn them off as unbuyable.

So, unless you want to be sad ... don't accept them on your stuff.

(if there is someplace else I should be posting these ... let me know.) I just always get offered the same thing on my trades by the same people, so I always know what crap they are trying to artifically inflate the price of.

Back on the old forums, there had been a sticky for scams & such, but I think I actually like it better this way, unstickied -- that way folks can be alerted just by the subject line.

Looked it up in the TP. There people who want 4 million, 650K, 300K. At the very very bottom 40k.

I just noticed the 40k one at the bottom myself. *grin*

This inflation looks like it got quashed quickly enough. Great job some people out there.

40k isn't worth it. I restock those frequently and judging by their commonness they only deserve to be sold at 10 - 20k at most.

What is WRONG with these people?? Is this reportable? Because it's starting to really vex me.

I think it is, but you can never be sure who started it...

but 40k is enough to stop people from thinking it is worth millions.

Although, you do have to admit, it is pretty intresting to see which item goes up.

I beg to differ. I appreciate them as a part of Neopia's diverse and treacherous economic landscape. Those inflators (I am not one though) have helped me trade off many things for more than their worth.

It is very easy to counter such tactics if you really dislike them, and the only people who suffer are unwise players who don't research prices properly. Also, artificial inflation seldom lasts long, and while not totally ethical, it still is a legitimate business tactic.

Remind me not to buy a used car from you, or anything, for that matter, Qanda.

Yep, happens to me constantly too, I got offered a few of those toys this afternoon,

this seems to be happening more and more often..

Someone tried another utility fish earlier today too....LOL. and then there are always those who try the 1NP JIC you hit accept by mistake....
