Wow, so I haven't made or rated an actual set in about, oh, six months. =p Since I am hardcore procrastinating, why not give it a shot?
DM: I really like the background on that set. However, you might want to up the quality of it; it appears a little pixellated to me. Also, the subtext seems to just be slapped on there, it doesn't really blend with the image. What I would recommend would be to fade it slightly.
Maniac: I like the simplicity of the set. However, I don't like the color of the font used - again, it is really out of place with the rest of the colors of the set. Try using a darker blue, or perhaps a color matching the lighter bubbles. It would look spiffy then.
HyperButterfly: Wow, I just started at the bottom of the review, not realizing how old the posts were...oh well. =p It's a cute Valentine's set; however, the added images in the sig look a little blurry. Also, the blue text doesn't really match the nice background, nor does the peach color. You can also see a bit of white around the roses and the box.
Gemma: The text looks really weird on the dolphin set, but I like the background. It looks a little pixellated though; try saving with a little higher quality. The border is really blah too, try having it around it, rather than through the image.
As for the one with the moon in the background, I also like that background, but the text looks odd in this one as well. Pink doesn't match, and you can't really see the Pr in the sig. This set also should be saved at a higher quality. It's a good start, though. The border is more effective in this set.
Maniac: I see this is from the set I previously rated. =p It's pretty cute, but the gray bubbles don't really fit it. I like the lighter ones, but that's been said plenty of times already now. It's nice!
Jaye: Pretty set! I have the same sentiments as Yoshi though; the textured text is cool looking, but something doesn't fit. It looks out of place with the airier feel of the rest of the set (faded, calmer colors). Also, I think the random line of added contrast on the av (on the far left, right next to the border) is a little strange, considering none of the other sides have it on either the av or the sig. I really like this set though, it's a pretty picture.
Yoshi: It's funny, because the text in the av (the only thing you didn't draw) is the thing that bugs me the most. =p It looks like it's too small for the font, if you know what I mean...? Probably not, since I'm crazy. The lighter side of the sig is pretty plain too. However, you did a fine job drawing it.
Off topic: Before I continue, I have to tell everyone to listen to The Sea and Cake right now. Soooooooo awesome.
Anyway, so here's the first graphic I have really spent time on in six months. Every other set I've made took five minutes or less. I'd love ratings, if you have them. This is actually the first set I've made for myself with a person in it...but it's worth it, since Rufus Wainwright is freaking awesome. =p It was weird though, I couldn't get them the same contrast for the life of me, even though I have the exact same layer settings for each of them.
Edit: I figured out what was causing them to be stupid, and now they're the same contrast! Yay!
