This reminded me of a joke I know, and like:

Two ladies are together at a table, eating and talking. One says, "I am so glad I haven't lost my memory, like so many of the elderly ladies around..."

The other then speaks, "Yes, I know, well knock on wood!" She knocks her fist against the table.

The first lady looks up, surprised, "Is someone at the door?"
