I agree that it is a huge generalization.

On a personal level, those above "jokes" only ring true for my mother and my sister...
And my best friend.
And my aunts.
And most of my cousins.
Perhaps my old scene partner.
And my ex-girl-friend... and the one before that.
Also my neighbor.
That girl I used to hang out with in grade 9.
The entire flute section of band class.
Not to mention my boss.
I forgot one of my other ex's. She fits in there too.
All of my friends that enjoyed 'A Walk To Remember'
... except for James.
The lead singer for Jefferson Airplane.
That girl that I met at the theatre the other night. I forgot her name so when I left tried to guess and said "nice to meet you Mary" She said "Its Paige" and I said "Yeah, whatever." For some reason she didn't seem to pleasant.
Anyone who's suggested that I shop at the GAP.
I met Charlotte Diamond when I was 6... We asked if we could take her picture... she said "go ahead"... long story short my sister was crying within 15 seconds. Need I say more?
There was this girl in my class once... she fits the bill.
My grade 12 french teacher.
I've never met Ann Murray, but my mom made me listen to her in the car a bunch of time and out of spite I'll say this applies to her.
Yeah that's pretty much it though.

Other than that, I really don't appreciate these kind of 'jokes' and horrible generalizations being made and you really should be more sensitive.

Of course, it's stereotypical for females to think that guys are idiots, ignorant and think about nothing except from football, alcohol and the body parts which respectable females try to cover up.

But, we don't complain or become offended by it, because some guys are like that, just like some females are.

I didn't really find the joke all that inappropriate, some of it is quite amusing and I have to admit I have been known to say a number of the phrases myself. If I wanted to split hairs I might complain about the Yes means No and No means Yes for the introduction because there are underlying issues with that concept and its untrue but for the most part the post was a joke posted for a bit of amusement.

I would be offended if they were supposed to be rude, but they are supposed to be funny, so it doesn't bother me.

I understand why some people might be offended by these, but I found them amusing. These aren't meant to be taken seriously, and can be true in some cases. I don't see any problem with them. :P

i find the first two or three a bit insulting, but the rest funny :) but as long as you take them with the pinch of salt they were intended then it's not doing anyone any harm, how many things like that have you read about guys? i've read LOADS

Exactly. Probably it's because females are more sensitive to this sort of thing. Oops, another generalisation.

heh, some of those are pretty true (well, at least for me and just about everyone other female I know)

THANKS A LOT

This is much different from "Thanks." A woman will say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh." Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell you "Nothing."

That one is so true!
