Thanks to such an informative thread, my knowledge of pi permenantly has 3 tacked onto the end now - 3.141592653.

Now, to learn 589.

589.
589.
589.

3.141592653589.

And I recite it to fellow pupils, obviously, I'm strange, and they feel it in the air too. They grimace, laugh at me, and generally the 'you're really strange' line of comments. What they do not know is how cool pi actually is.

3.141592653589.

*inserts into memory*

3.14159--it's easy to rhyme in nerdy chants. I used to know a lot more off the top of my head, but now it takes me a while to remember much more than that.

Either I use the Pi key, or I use 3.14, as that is all that is normally asked for on tests.

Just 3.14 xD It doesn't really matter to me, calculators are always allowed on tests in my school, especially for things like that (Pi, I mean.)

Back in my day we would just tell Pi that it was 3, and that was that. No arguments. Loosen the rules and what do you get? A trail of decimal places with no end in sight.

I know around 28 digits, since according to my maths text book, if you pronounce pi in Putonghua/ Mandarin, it sounds like a poem on a jug of wine in the mountains. xD
