Flesh-Eating Baby "Worm" Feasts on Mom's Skin

This is like the weirdest... and yet interesting thing i've seen in quite awhile. It also emphasizes the part of me that hopes I never have children. *Shudder*

But it also wants to inspire very odd comics. Mwaha.

(p.s I know it's not a worm, and that it is an amphibian, but i'm quoting directly from the article)

Well isn't that similar to breast feeding in a way? They say that the skin redoubles in thickness during that period but women start expressing milk when pregnant. Maybe it doesn't hurt? I don't know! o_O

The strangest part imo is that an amphibian would feed it's young at all. Most reptiles and amphibians abandon thier young once they hatch, I thought anyway.

While it is strange that they would feast in their own mother it's not uncommon among animals and insects especially, a lot of species eat thier parents, it's just unusual that this species has evolved to survive it.
