English, and I've been doing French for 5 years. I can do well in the language, but am prone to not really trying.

When i was small, around three, i could speak quite a bit of German besides English, but as i got older the German was forgotten.
I'm currently in my third year old Spanish, and i'm pretty fluent. I was going to learn Korean from some friends, but they got lazy and never taught me.
I'd like to learn French one day...

I took Spanish from second grade through high school, so it's rusty but there.

I took some German earlier in college and plan on taking more.

I've taken some Italian in college as well and use it in some form or another almost every day, so it's currently better than my other languages.

On top of these languages, I'll need five credit hours of French to graduate, so I'll be taking that soon, either over the summer or next fall.

I took a year of Japanese, but I basically don't remember anything now.

I'm currently in my first year of Spanish, meaning I can't do much more than hold a basic conversation haha :) I'm planning on taking it through the rest of high school and probably into college.

I've been teaching myself Esperanto, although I've recently gotten lazy about it *eek* and my friend and I decided to learn sign language.

Eventually I'd like to be fluent in at least one other language than English.

Hrm. The only other language I can speak pretty much fluently is Spanish. I really want to learn French, Italian, and German. I think a Scottish or Celtic language would be fun, too. Next semester, though, I get to learn something really neat: a Mayan language! I'm so excited. When I was in Guatemala I learned a few words from the Maya family I was staying with. The group of us that went down there convinced our professor to do a class next semester, so we'll all be learning Kaqchikel together. :) The textbook looks like this. My prof is one of the co-authors. I can't wait! *gets giddy*

I took Spanish in sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades. I am currently unable to continue, but I'll figure out some way to take Spanish starting next year, even if I have to do it mainstream. *shudders at the thought of ever going to a mainstream class again*

I just finished my fifth year in school in Mandarin Chinese, and my first year in school of Japanese. I'm not planning on continuing the Japanese (at least not until college or after) so I really wouldn't consider myself a Japanese speaker, but maybe someone who knows a bit of casual conversation and vocabulary.

Chinese, on the other hand, is well on its way to oral fluency (like, I'm pretty sure I could get by in China without a translator) and I'm fairly good at reading and writing (although I'm not quite as good at r&w as I am at speaking). My favourite facet of languages is translation, and I'm quite good at Chinese to English, as long as I know more than 50% of the words used XD

I also know a little Hawaiian - I sing a LOT of Hawaiian music in my choir and know the vocab for them, as well as the fact that dancing hula pretty much requires you sort of know what you're talking about. My parents and brother all either currently take or have previously taken Hawaiian classes, and I did, too, when I was younger, so definitely there are phrases in Hawaiian that are used in our household regularly.

MD: I'm pretty surprised to see someone who knows Hawaiian...you're probably better than I am, but I'm curious as to your background...

After visiting hawaii in 2001 I was curious about the language and started learning some. I neglected it for awhile and forgot alot of it...but I can do some pretty basic stuff. nothing too hard or flashy lol.

French - pretty fluet and could get by in overseas countries without a translator. Comprehension is almost perfect but my vocab may not upto scratch with a native speaker
Hindi and Maori- know a few random phrases from movies and school
Spanish, German, Japanese, Arabic- other languages in which I can count to 10 and say hi etc
However I can't read/write any languages with a totally different script. One day maybe :)

But English is a foreign language
Anyway I'm fluent in Italian (duh) and I can understand and read French and Spanish. I also know a little Japanese and some words of German. And, despite taking 5 years of the subject, I know nothing at all of latin.

I know bits and pieces of Spanish, but I refused to learn the language when the option was provided in school. Pretty much everyone in my area learns or knows Spanish, and I wanted to be different, so went to my ancestors roots and learned German instead. I've got a fairly decent understanding of German language structure - I just don't have a good vocab to back it up. If you put me in a conversation, I could probably squeak by.
