I think asterisk is more popular, but I know people that use other things.

I don't exist. omo

I usually use brackets of some sort, cause for me, asterisks are more of an emphasis on a word.

Asterisks usually, though I generally take the "when in Rome" path and use whatever the norm for the forum/board is.

I kinda rotate. You never know which one I'll use next.

*thinks*

But asterisks seem to be my main one.

I use asterisks. I like double colons, though.

I use the asterisk mostly as well.
Although I do use a hyphen when I'm going off on a tangent.

I use hyphens a lot.

I use asterisks for what I'm doing (.e.g *Combusken goes to a Starbucks, orders a coffee and pays for the coffee then sits down on a chair and drinks the coffee*)

((I use these if I an talking to someone during a roleplay but don't want to be it actioned towards the roleplay)) (double colons)

I only use captians when I'm shouting at someone but I have never got into an arguement during a roleplay so I've never had to use them.

I used to use asterisks for actions - I probably still would, but I've tried to learn how to convey my message through other means.
Occasionally, I fail, but... *shrugs*

I think the only action capslock really works for is SHOUTING.

All was quiet in PPT, bar the klaxons sounding off amidst another aerial bombardment - scene setting

I use asterisks for actions.

*pause*

I use arrows to describe my own constant traits.
