Now, in my cooking class the other day we were talking about what our microwaves say when the food is finished. I was surprised... my microwave just flashes "0" and beeps three times. Does yours say anything, like "Food is ready."? My cooking class teacher's microwave says "Enjoy your meal." Wow, isn't it polite.

It just beeps loudly and obnoxiously until I open the door and take the food out.

We have a basic microwave. You put the food in, set the timer. It makes a 'ding' sound when the time is up. Voila.

The family one does a series of beeps then stops. It gives a beep every few minutes until the door is opened.

Mine just does one loud 'ding'.

I have a high-tech microwave.

I recorded my phone ringing into it, so when it's done, it sounds like the phone is ringing. It sounds a little lower quality, but it's pretty funny when people come over and they're like.. "Why are you opening the micrwave when the phone is ringing?"

Mine does two short beeps, one long beep, and displays "End" forever... or until you open the door.

What you have to do is record a cellphone ringing; it doesn't matter which tone as people will still think it's their cellphone ringing.

The one I currently use (it's not actually mine) pings. My friends own one that sings.

Mine just does a three or four second beep. More than sufficient. However, I'd love for it to say, "yo, get your food".

Mine says "Your food is ready".

I think I should be able to set that. What if I wanted to use my microwave to blow up a chipmunk or something? Chipmunks aren't food!
