What to do on vacation :)

Hi all. 
We're trying to get a week of vacation together (if Tim can get it off), but we haven't been able to come up with a week of things to do. 
lol I was wondering if anyone could give any good ideas? The girls are 6 1/2, 5, almost 3, and 1 1/2. So, it'd have to be activities they can do as well. The things we have come up with so far are: beach, zoo, amusement park, science museum. That's about it. lol Can anyone think of anything else we could do?

Amusement parks and beachside resorts are always fun. You can go to Walt Disney World (Might be a bit... expensive, though), Disneyland, Cedar Point, or any of the Six Flags parks (Worlds of Adventure in Ohio is great. ).
I also love beaches. Staying at a beachside resort is very fun. I went up to Traverse City here in Michigan twice. They have very nice beaches. When we went down to Walt Disney World earlier this year, my dad was able to get a very good deal for one night in a four-star beachside resort in Daytona Beach.
Other than that, you could also go camping.

Okay, here's something not to do that I tell from experience: Play hide-and-go-seek in the "great outdoors". The results can be terrifying, especially with little ones determined not to be found.
The beach would have to be the best idea. So much stuff you can do there...sand castles, "mud pies", swimming under/over/into the waves, running away from the waves...kayaking is fun.

Well, if you wanted to go and see a movie, Home on the Ranch would be good for the older-younger children, but I'm not sure how you're 3 and 1 1/2 year old's would like it.

I don't think Cedar Point would be good for younger kids. Disneyland would probably be good, but that can be expensive.
The beach is always pretty fun.

I don't like Roller Coasters or thrill rides, but I enjoyed Cedar Point both times I went there. Some of the rides there are quite... family-friendly.

Washington, D.C., to suggest something new. Monuments, landmarks, Smithsonian, important stuff. Unfortunately, it involves a lot of walking. Trust me.

I dont think little kids would like that. Might be boring to them. If they were a little older,maybe.
I have no idea were you could go. I'm one for nature,so hiking may be fun..of course,that would be hard with a one and a half year old.

Sight-seeing, maybe? Umm, beaches, malls, movies, nature walks, parks, carnivals, fairs, farmer festivals, ect. Umm, that's all I can think of. ^.^;;

Oh I remember I went on a trip to Europe when I was 7 and my bro was 2. Then again, that's just us. I would suggest going on a picnic ^^ If you have a nice backyard or something, you can just camp there. Or maybe camp in the living room if it's large enough. Fun fun, I used to do that XD

If you head to D.C though, you'll at least the full week there if you really want to get a lot out of it. There is no way you can cover it in one day.

I think the beach would be good. Most kids love the beach and you don't have to wait in lines and other stuff that comes with fun at amusement parks.
