Beavers Reintroduced to Great Britain

Mon Dec 08, 2008 4:40 am

Article

Beavers were hunted to extinction in the UK about 400 years ago. The group working on the reintroduction is hoping that the beavers can create new wetland environments in western Scotland to help out other native species.

I assume they will be quarantined in an appropriately climate-controlled wardrobe until they're released into the wild. Given that Father Christmas is coming around soon, I can only assume that there will be a giant lion coming by as well.

(Why yes, they are playing the Narnia movies downstairs! Why do you ask?)

Yeah, I heard about this in local news last week... I wonder where about the beavers will be released.
