The Return of Stupid Moments!

It's been a while since we've had a stupid moments thread, and I have just the story to start it off!

Last night I ordered a pizza online.

I was talking about it in a couple of chats as I was doing it, because it was midnight and there is nothing to talk about at midnight during finals week except how hungry and paper-obsessed I am. Several of my toppings were democratically-elected (my friend Mary and also Moongewl deserve kudos for suggesting banana peppers and jalapenos).

Um...the pizza place closes at 12. Now, I thought it was slightly odd that it was 12:45 and my order time was listed as 12:00 on the confirmation page, but I had logged into the site around then and thought maybe that was a thing.

My pizza came about half an hour ago! The guy called from outside the dorm while I was in class, writing an essay exam. Oh, and I'd managed to lock myself out somehow when I got the pizza.

Mary saw me getting the pizza just now. There is absolutely no way I can avoid letting this story get out.

Okay, so here's a stupid moment I had a couple weeks ago:
It was the night after I'd had my interview, but I hadn't heard back. I was TOTALLY spaced out, but I was in the kitchen helping make dinner. We were cooking spaghetti, and deciding what to put in the sauce with the meat.
My husband looked at me and said "Can you get the mushrooms?"
So I got out two of the little cans of mushrooms, opened and drained them, and turned around to hand them to him and said, "Here's the greenbeans."
He stared at me blankly for a few seconds, raised an eyebrow, and took them from me.

....Needless to say, I was then ordered out of the kitchen to rest.

I was walking with my friend, talking, and I tripped over a wet floor SIGN.

Fell and broke my hand. *headdesk*
