NaNoWriMo!

Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:33 pm

Time for DM to make the obligatory NaNo thread this year. XD

Who's doing it?
For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo (or National Novel Writing Month) is a thirty-day long challenge in which you write a 50k word novel in thirty days.
This be my fourth year. ^^

Post usernames, questions, what have you.
Oh, and the site is here.

OMG AWESOME.
I love the whole "It's about quantity, not quality; you will be writing a load of rubbish" idea to it. Yeah, I'll definitely consider it. I've been wanting to do something creative for a while now and this might be it :)

Wow. That's a lot of words :o . I can barely write a thousand word paper, let alone fifty thousand.

*Backs out of thread slowly*

HECK YEAH!

Gotta go 5 for 5 baby! 8)

Only this year will have to be a 25 day challenge. I refuse to novel on my honeymoon. :P I can write up to Thanksgiving in a pinch. But I should...you know never mind. Too many women in this house would beat the everloving snot out of me if they caught me noveling beyond the 25th.

I'm Katie C if anyone wants to friend me.

Oh, puh-lease.
My first year I got twelve down. :P

Oh yeah. My username's DM.
I forgot that. XD

My first year, I got to about 3k. My second year (last year), I got to 16k. By exponential probability, I should be reaching 50k+ this year. :P

I'll try again, but I need to find something I can rant about for 50 pages. My sn is fatp3ngu1n, I believe.

I sat refreshing the page over and over... and over... on October 1st because I was so excited! ^_^ This is my fourth attempt (and possibly my fourth failure)!!! I have no plot this year, so I'm doing a dare novel. Based on dares I've taken so far, it may be somewhat technology oriented... I'm JellyFish72 over there as well - I'm almost always online, so if you need writing buddies, poke me via email or Skype (my new obsession for zETA and NaNo periods)!

I kind of want to do this, but I have absolutely no time to devote to writing a novel. (Of course, my being on PPT right now kind of contradicts that). Maybe if July was NaNoWriMo...

Might I suggest you sign up for Gaia and try Gaia SuWriMos? :)

I'm doing it! Or trying, anyway.

It can't possibly be worse than last year where i got nothing written. Or the year before where I got something like 13 words written. Yes, THIRTEEN WORDS.

Oh! I'm machinedreams over there, too.

My first year was twelve, my second was 36k, my third was 50k and some odd words. :)

Summer Writing Months, actually. :)
The difference with SuWriMos and NaNo is it's three months instead of one, and you can pick your goal. :)

I'm Siouxper over there. I'm planning on writing complete nonsense, being as this is my first time. Probably a parody or humor story because I can ramble on and on about that kind of stuff :P
