I know a lot of little kids have their own ideas about what they'd rather be named. When I was four, I wanted to be named Ducki. Yes, that's Ducki, with an I.
What about you? Tell us your adorable little childhood name fantasies. (This can also include names you might have decided on for your future children, stuffed animals, etc.)

Stupid as it seems, but when I was 3, I quite liked the name 'Spaghetti'

Nope

Not that I remember. I remember wanting to be a lollypop lady or Maggie Thatcher. I'm very glad my ambitions and political standpoint have changed since I was four.

I remember wanting my name to be Loonette like from the Big Comfy Couch! I went though I phase where I refused to respond to Rachel.

HAha, I LOVED the Big Comfy Couch! *nostalgia attacks*
As for me, I remember in middle school I REALLY REALLY wanted to change my name to "Kirby". Not because of the pink ball cartoon thing, but I thought it was a cuter (more unique) name.
Future kids: Clarissa/Claire (girl), Dimitri/Blake/Henry (boy), Victor/Victoria (boy/girl twins), and Zilary either as a first name or a middle name for one of my kids.

I have wanted a different name up until a few years ago when I learned that the root name to my name is a Biblical prophet who was abducted by aliens. Now, I take pride in my name.
I used to use pseudonyms when dealing with random people online. Most didn't realize I was using anime names

All of the time. I used to hate my name, and my best friend and I would play all of these imaginary games where we would give ourselves completely different names. I think Raven, Mina, and Erica were the ones I always liked the most.
I was such a weird little kid.

I used to hate my name when I was young: "Do you mean like Ronald?" NO! For whatever reason, I wanted to be called Dakota for a while. I have no idea why.
I think, more than anything, I wanted my last name to be different. I could handle the teasing about it when I was a child (it is very close to a food name), but then a certain Japanese anime exploded, and I hated my name even more.

I desperately wanted a different name growing up, and I still don't like my name. Rachel was just so common and so bleh--it sounds like either a prissy little girl or a frail old woman. The only name I distinctly remember wanting was Jane, which sounded far more stylish to me. But I'm pretty sure every time I read a book with a cool heroine, I went through an "I want her name" phase.

I didn't want to change my first name, but I always wanted - still do, actually - to change my middle name. Or the spelling of my first name.

When I was little, I really wanted a name you didn't hear often, like Rose. My parents considered naming me Mercedez, but thought I would be made fun of because of the car... That name would have been so cool.
There are times now that I kind of wish I could change my real name to May... I've become so accustomed to people calling me that online that it just seems totally normal.

Seeing as there are not that many Ella's in the world, or at least in my region of the world, I always wanted to be called something different. For a time when I was maybe 3 or 4 I wanted to be called Sarah because it was a 'normal' name to my standards back then, but now I know better.
I still have a love-hate relationship with it though.
I love it because it's unique and I only know maybe one other person who shares the same name, but at the same time it sort of screws up my quest for anonymity in school.
I only ever let my super close best friends call me by my long time nickname though, which happens to be Belle.
So far that is only one person, not including my Dad who came up with the nickname.

When I was little, my mother told me that her first choice for my name was Tuesday, but my dad hated it. Ever since, Ive wanted my name to be Tuesday. I used to like the name April too. When my cousins and I would play, I would be 'April' and my cousin Andy would be 'Michael.' I really dont like my real name, (its Tammi), but Ive satisfied my longing for something different by picking cool names in my language classes. I was Thérèse in French class, Portia in Latin, Eva in German, and Cristina in Spanish class
As for kids, Violette Evangeline is at the top of the list. I'd like to stick 'Dillie' in there too, after my grandmother who raised me. I dont have a special boy name chosen. With my luck, I'll end up with 6 boys and no girls though.

No, but I spent the first few years of school fighting my parents tooth and nail to be called Alex, rather than Alexandra.
And I went through a stage where I wanted to spell it Alessandra. Yeah, dunno what was going on there.
