Ange, I feel ya. I've been out of college for a while myself.
{dredges into memory} Let's see....
When I was in High school, I was in the National Honors Society (until my GPA dropped a hair below 4.0 my last semester and they kicked me out - the day AFTER they took the year book photo
). I played in the orchestra (was even librarian for 2 years) and ran cross country and track for a couple years. I was also in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).
Most of the rest of my time was involved in a number of non-school activities, which kept my schedule quite busy, to the point at which I really couldn't join anything else at school or I'd hafta drop something else.
In college, I was part of
several musical ensembles (one of which I taught), BSM (Baptist Student Ministries), and two honors societies whose names are insanely long. Oh yeah, and for about 3 weeks, I was part of Mu Phi Epsilon - the music frat\sorority. My stepdad's suitemate had founded the chapter, so my stepdad was telling me all sorts of cool things about it - which I discovered the current members had turned into a mockery, so I was rather disappointed and quit. (Of course, the fact that they'd screwed up and I was going to have to pay dues *again* didn't help in convincing me to stay.)
