If you have the money, where would you travel to?

Sun Mar 09, 2008 2:02 am

If I have the money, I would like to go to more wild places such as African safari and snorkeling in the maldives instead of common locations like UK, US, France, Germany, Canada, Thailand, Singapore etc.

If I had the money?
Low earth orbit with a very Large Nuclear weapon.

If I had the money but was disallowed my instinct to destroy civilisation, then Los Angeles, Or New York.

The only other cities in the world where I feel I could exist in peace. (London, being the third)
Reasons being English Speaking (I've not got the mind set to learn another language fluently) and Emergence (IE: They are really big, zonking great cities)

The moon, and the other planets.

You said 'the money', right?

New Zealand for me. Its sposed to be similar to England, but a lot better, how it used to be kinda *shrug* Maybe its just wishful thinking, but would be nice to find out. Other place would be the west coast of America again, esp LA and Vegas.

Back on topic, Japan, no doubt.

Quite a lot of places. I'd hit a few major US cities, then travel through Europe doing the same thing, then visit a few places in Asia, then some of South America's major attraction points(I'd love to see the Amazon Rainforest), then Australia, then Antarctica. Obviously I'd spread it out, probably over the course of my entire lifetime, but I'd like to see a lot more of the world than I have so far.

Right now my "dream trip" is to travel to Argentina on the physics study abroad, because a bunch of my friends have gone and they say it's a lot of fun. There's nothing particularly special to me about Argentina (though the people I've met from there have been pretty cool). I just want to go somewhere far away with fellow physics majors, study acoustics and astrobiology, witness the famous "drunk Norberto" (Norbert is the prof chaperone's first name and the Argentina students call him Norberto), revive my deteriorating Spanish skills, and get 400-level credits for having a good time.

My second choice would be to travel to Italy - probably Florence, Venice and Rome. I've been to all three before, but my boyfriend wants to see them all, and I certainly wouldn't mind going back. It's beautiful over there, and we could geek out over the cool historical stuff that I didn't know much about last time, or was too young to appreciate. (I was last in Venice and Rome over ten years ago. Florence was more recent.) We've talked about going there on our honeymoon, but we're not engaged yet - we're waiting until I've graduated college to get married, and we don't want to be engaged-but-not-married for more than a year or so if we can avoid it. So I'll be a senior before we get engaged.

You want to come to HK? Doesn't my username, avatar and signature give a BIG clue as to where I am right now?
