Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

The premise is the same as NaNoWriMo, but you write a script or screenplay in a month.
I'm doing a parody of every film any geek has ever loved. It will be AMAZING.

I'm passing on this one...instead, I'm already planning what I'll be writing next November (essentially the same premise and characters I was working with before, but different plot, slight personality tweaks here and there, more exposition and explanation, etc.).

I am no good at script writing, but I can't wait for you to show us what you can do

I'm joining, hopefully it'll be a distraction from exams. I'm writing a playscript, though.

I never really bother to write, shame really, I used to be quite good, I lost my touch after so long of vegetating on Neopets though.

Aww! I meant to post about this!
DM was on fire! is my username, same as it is on NaNoWriMo.
I'm writing a script based on my 2006 novel Lights, Camera, Chickens?!. Sure to have lots of weirdness.

Did you take the chicken dare? *loved that dare*
I'm doing it (I'm JellyFish72 over there, also)! I'm attempting to write a musical about two people who meet on the internet and fall in love. Then attempt to meet in real life. Should be interesting. I can picture one of the scenes in my head - a song about airport security. That'll be amusing.

No, I didn't. It actually based on Kitten Medli and I's fake band.

Made of chickens...that are people. Real people.
A musical would be the perfect way to rack up words, because you'd have the script and the song.
I may turn mine into a musical too.
"Adventures in the Studio: The Musical"
Way better than my original title. (Clash of the Chickens II: Adventures in the Studio)
THANKS JELLY.

Despite my complete lack of time and the stressful awfulness that was Nanowrimo last year...
I am totally doing this.
Mon May 21, 2007 3:11 am
I'm game...at least for this year.
I don't know if I can write a script or if I'd find it any fun. The emphasis on formatting is a liiiittle bit of a turn-off. But it could be fun. Who knows?
The thing is that I have to at least participate in the debut or I'll regret it. I just love NaNo too much to just say "no" off the bat.

Hey guys, I'm entering into this. Me and my friend are doing it as a pair so I don't lose motivation like I normally do with Nano. With the article on formatting we were wondering if there was a special stagewriting word processor software that is freely downloaded?
Thanks a lot, hope to see everyone doing well

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think formatting's too important. It's not like it's gonna add to the word count or anything. o_o

I know it's not as important as the word count itself. I guess I'm just too used to a novel's flow.

Yeah.
I'm using a reference book to answer all my questions.
There's also an online screenplay software called ScriptBuddy I'm using. I just gotta figure out how it works.

I'm just gonna like... do it like plays are formatted, without too much fanciness:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Example, mildly based on my plot:
Mark
Wow, pirates!
General
Don't get too close to them; they're using melee weapons-
Joe
Like swords and crap?
(Pulls out cell phone)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It'd be cellphone if there wasn't a wordcount goal.
