Skydiver survives 5000 foot free fall

I can't believe he survived. Apparently if you free fall and you relax, then you can't get hurt but that's kinda counter intuitive.

...wow. That gave me shivers just watching it. He was insanely lucky! Even though the parachute didn't completely open, I bet you it still helped him a little, slowed him down a bit and such. What's the statistic in Angels and Demons? Such and such amount of tarp can save your life in a fall of such and such feet or whatever? lol

S'cause the men in New Zealand are real men like back in the old days. 5000 foot drops are nothing, why we used to have 10000 foot drops and walk away as fit and spry as ever...
