Oh Japan, always the source of entertainment.

No wonder the population is severly aging and birth rates a plummeting. No birth machines!

They could always start importing "birth machines" from third world countries, if they're so worried. It's not like Japan has tons and tons of people or anything. A single good smallpox epidemic could wipe them out completely.

(Yes, that article went right up my nose. In a non-drug sense.)

Looks like they don't want "Children of Men" to come true in 20 years.

Anyways, that's... Interesting, to say the least.

Male fertility rates have dropped 50% (Though, this is from about 95) over the last five decades due to various chemicals that are now present in the water system.
Gonna happen anyway I should think.

He added: "Although it may not be so appropriate to call them machines."

It's the afterthought that counts.

They would have less issues like these if they allowed more immigration and had a society that's more accomdating for immigration...

Here's a hint: for those unfamiliar with birthing, it's a "WHAT THE ***** IS THAT?!?!?!?" kind of thing.

I have, and it sounds as though fourty minutes later after everything is cleaned up and you've gone home you unexpectedly have another bunch of babies, albiet slightly smaller ones.

*covers eyes with hand* Oh my goodness.

Birth may be a miracle and all... but it's gotta be the grossest one out there. Count me out from having children! Adoption all the way!
