Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

I got my first golf-set today from my mother... and I took little Jessie to the driving range to try it out... and within the first 30 minutes, I totally killed my most expensive golf club (a no. 1 driver). The golf head broke off the shaft!!!
... and the most humiliating thing ... the golf head ended up going further than the golf ball ...
I'm thinking of taking it back to the store to see if I can get the whole thing replaced... "Hi... I'm not 100% satisfied with this golf club ... so I'd like to exchange it for a NEW one..."
Anyway, if anyone here plays golf and knows of some good sites for tips and tricks or willing to give me some ... plllleassee... I don't wanna be 007 - license to kill golf-clubs anymore.

HAHAHAHAHA. You moron.
In all seriousness though, I'd take it back. Golf clubs.. shouldn't break like that o.O Just make sure you have proof of purchase, yada yada, all that stuff.

It was probably defective, my mom plays golf and they're not supposed to break like that. Take it back to the store (make sure you have a receipt and crap).
But that's still funny.

uhhh yeah, i'm fairly sure they shouldn't break like that...they should change it or give you a refund?

*giggles* I would have loved to see that.

Yeah, I'd take that back. No golf club, under any normal circumstance, should break at the hozel (even if you smack the ground pretty hard).
Now, here's a question that is worth asking - did it break where the head meets the shaft, or inside the head, or higher up?

The one time I did that, the club was thirty years old and already cracked. Something wasn't quite right about the club you had. =/

No, you're not a golf club killer, just a product tester.

No, no, you ARE a golf-club killer. You just cull the weak or sick ones from the herd, as if it were a wildebeast or cub scout.

If you follow Darwinian evolution, the next generation will be stronger and better golf clubs on average than the previous.

Update: OK I really officially hate golf clubs with a burning passion. I thought for a while that I wasn't really a golf-club murderer, but I just acme back from the driving range again and I "bent" the head on another driver - the heck? Is it two faulty golf clubs or am I just that bad? I didn't even hit it on the ground. I kept whacking it properly and it kept averaging about 130m every shot.
