everyone's been calling me crazy

Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:07 pm

i just bought a ticket to see my favorite band, counting crows, perform with a live orchestra. in los angeles.

that's not so crazy in itself, except that i am in new york city.

i just bought the plane ticket this morning and i am so excited! i am going to fly out that morning, see the show that evening, and fly back to nyc the next morning to get back in time for my evening class.

am i crazy? you tell me!

I went to music festival in Barcelona.

Go you. :)

I don't think you're crazy.... I know a bunch of people who fly all over to go to concerts/events.

Nah! Now, if you were basically homeless because you were buying concert tickets/plane tickets to follow a band all over the country, I'd have to ask "Are you crazy?!", but this just sounds like something special and fun.

I know someone in his (very) late 40's who won't fly, so he buys tickets for every Rolling Stones concert he can and drives all over the country to see them - then will drive back the same night (like from PA to Chicago and back in under 24 hours) - now that's crazy.

I don't blame you at all. If I could afford it, I'd totally follow my favourite band all over the country.

There's nothing crazy about that! I would do just about anything to be able to go to NYC to see the Harry Potter Movie premire, but even though I don't live too far away from there (a few hours), my parents would never let me go. D:

Have fun at the concert, though! :D

I know people who travel all around to see the same tour over and over. So no, you're not crazy. :) I imagine it would be a fun event to get to see a new state and see your favorite band/singer too.

If you could afford it, you would hire someone to abduct them and like lock U2 in your basement

Anyway, I don't think thats crazy, it actually sounds like alot of fun.

Well, I've always wanted to visit various Harry Potter conventions across the country, but frugality and my mom make me think that that's crazy, so by my standard, yup, you're crazy.

Thats not crazy :P Thats fanboyism) Tell us how it is when you get back though!

Thu Sep 22, 2005 1:28 pm

of course you are.....n't

There are heaps of people flocking to melbourne from WA to see the Grand final. If you like something enough, you go and see it.

btw, I don't know how far you would actually have to travel to see that, but still, you aren't crazy by my book.

*goes with the rest of the crowd and says you're not crazy at all*

*also says that lots of people do that sort of thing*

*nods and bounces away*
