Yearbook Help!

Mon Jan 24, 2005 9:21 pm

It's yearbook time at school and we have been asked to write a page on ourselves but I have no idea what I should write about! Has anyone ever done this before and could you give me some help? Please :battar:

I suggest writing about times you and your friends had toghther that year so when you are older and look back on your year book, you will remeber those times.

I should have put this in the first post, I'm not really that popular at school. Sure, people will talk to me but I wouldn't consider them friends. I do have two friends at school but I'm not that close to them. I don't really enjoy school that much, sometimes it can be quite fun but I go there to work and that's pretty much it while the others stayed on for their friends. We're being made to write something about ourselves for the yearbook so there's not just a giant blank space next to our photo but I have no idea what I'm going to put.

Are you any good at peotry or anything like that? You could put a poem. And who says the message has to be about your life at school, you could write about the things that had happened this year.

You could credit some teachers you like, just to extend the lines a bit.
A poem sounds pretty good too.

A poem sounds cool, but if you're not that popular then you could get made fun of for it. Maybe not, but I'm just saying that's what would happen at my school. *shrugs*

Depends on the poem. If your school is pessimistic, then deep poems will add icing to the cake, and the latter will make then stuff you in lockers.

You know your school best. Come up with something that appeals to them.

Only sixth years get to have a year book so I don't need to worry about getting stuffed into lockers or anything because I'll have left by then!:P

Maybe you could perhaps just have an entire list of adjectives to describe all your times at school, both positive and negative.

You could try a parody of your school/classes, I'd just suggest that you don't insult people because that probably wouldn't be very good for anyone to look back on (including yourself).

If you're artistic you could ask if you could draw a picture instead and have that scanned in where you'd usually have your text, maybe drawing might be easier for you if you're artistically inclined.

I'd suggest, finishing it off with a small well wish (to no one in particular, just everyone).

Good luck :)

Honestly, I write "friends = 2 thumbs up, school = LATER". :)
