Hey, so after working at McDonalds in a while, I have developed some insight. I'm here to answer all your McDonalds questions to the best of my ability. =D Of course, I work at a Canadian one so some things might be different.

I'll start off with some advice: Never order the Angus burger unless you order it fresh.

Oh yeah, you can ask for "fresh" items, and they will make a new one for you. You'll have to wait 1-7 extra minutes depending on what you're ordering (grilled chicken takes the longest), but it's worth it. Especially if you want an Angus, or anything with a large chicken patty. (Grilled or Crispy Chicken).

Angus patties usually just sit in the heater for a very, very long time. Same with the grilled and Crispy chicken.

I've never heard of Angus burgers before. What are they?

My sister told me to never get fries there. Apparantly when they clean it out at the end of the day, all sorts of things come up in the cooker.

Oh man, I remember working at McDonalds.

Those were the days I mastered the Drive-Thru.

The Angus is basically a bigger patty than the quarter-pounder. For real men.

The fryer, unfortunately, doesn't turn up any interesting objects other than fry crumbs at our restaurant. :(

My sister used to work at Taco Bell (back in the 1980's) and has never ordered the refried beans there since. She wouldn't tell us why not, just that you didn't want to know...

Burgers made from scotsmen.

They taste a heck of a lot better than the Nigel burgers.

That's not saying much. Even Steve burgers are better than Nigel burgers.

I used to work at Wendy's, but I'm sure this will work at McDonald's too.

If you want fresh french fries, say you need them without salt. Ours were salted immediately coming out of the fryer, so an unsalted batch always has to be made special.

Remarkably, I came away from Wendy's and still have no problems eating anything from there. Except maybe the salads; just because I never trusted people to make them as good as I did. :)

In all seriousness Angus is a type of Cow and at least where I live (Alberta) the type of cow is serious business.

Frankly we don't have anything on those crazy marbled japanese cows. Angus is tough and disgusting. Give me a good ole' speckled park any day over an Angus! Slow raised beef is MUCH better.

:o Reallly? This could be useful information.

Have you ever been to one in the US? If so I'd like to know if the Canadian ones are any better...the ones I've been to here are disgusting, usually anyway.

I personally think that the US ones look better, but the food tastes worse and they're not as clean. The Canadian ones (in Manitoba anyway) are clean, but they're not all nice, just some simple chairs and tables.

I <3 Alberta beef! Ah, good ole BSE.

I've been to a few McDonalds (New York and Maine). Blech. Although I did encounter a few "If we don't serve you with a smile, your meal is free" signs. Hah. There is one McDonalds in my city that has a really swanky eating area. Nice curved booth, dim lighting. It's pretty neat.

I'd say they're about the same. :P From my limited experience with US McDonalds. I like their menu better, though.

McDonalds is... cleaner than you would expect, but that's depending on the employee.
