ok, here's how this works:
1. i post the beginning of a story
2. the next person posts a negative turn of events, starting by saying "unfortunately..."
3.the next person post something positive, beginning with fortunately
4.unfortunately
and so on..
example:
me: joe went hiking in the woods.
person q:unfortunately, he tripped on a rock
person z:fortunately, he caught himself easily
person blurp:unfortunately, he was at the edge of a cliff and stumbled off the edge
person q:fortunately, he landed on nice, fluffy pillows
and so on...

BEGINNING:
billy-bob the big bad bean went swimming in his pond.

Unfortunately, he never knew how to swim.

Fortunatly, he brought inner tubes.

Unfortunately, it was out of air.

Fortunately, his parents had another child to love and adore after Billy-Bob died.

Unfortunatly, that child was hit by a car soon after.

This is dark. .__.

Fortunately, he only lost nerve feeling in his whole left body.

Unfortunately, he didn't think himself very fortunate.

Unfortunately, he was left handed.

Fortunately, he was cured by a magical shaman.

Unfortunately, the shaman happened to be evil and was only healing him to turn him into his zombie minion

Fortunately, zombies are awesome.

Unfortunately upon appearing as an extra in the latest Dawn of the Dead episode XI he got embroiled in a legal suite pertaining to the use of his likeness in sponsorship promotions.

Fortunately, just before trial, he was able to get documentation from his doctors that he was, in fact a real zombie, counter-sued and is now a millionaire.
