The PremiseIf you’re innocent (
Alignment: Innocent in your role sheet), you have to try and defeat all the bad guys (
Alignment: Evil in their role sheet).
To do so, you can use role powers (explained below), secret powers (explained below) and execution (explained below)
If you’re evil, you have to try and defeat not only all the innocents, but also all the other bad guy teams.
CHECK THE WEREWIKI FOR HELPFUL INFORMATION------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day/NightThe “cycles” of the game are divided into two sections.
The first section is Day. During day, everybody can vote (see Voting).
Certain role powers and secret powers only function during the day.
Day ends with execution (see below) at anywhere between 9:00PM NZT (New Zealand time) and 9:30PM NZT
Immediately after execution, Night begins.
During Night, nobody can vote.
Certain role powers and secret powers only function during the night.
The night scene will begin being written immediately after the execution scene and you should expect it around 9:30PM NZT (around 12:30 am NST).
All lists are required to be submitted during the day. Regardless of if I am running late, all lists have a deadline of 9:00 NZT. This will be measured off the forum clock.
Any lists submitted after this point will be ignored.
At the end of Night, Day begins again. It’s just like magic! (or, you know, life…)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VotingEverybody, regardless of alignment or role, has one vote per cycle.
To vote, put in bold
VOTE: Player X (where Player X is who you want to target).
To unvote somebody, put in bold
UNVOTE: Player X.
Please, don’t put
UNVOTE: Whoever I voted for etc. It makes my life easier if you tell me who you voted for.
If you attempt to vote again without unvoting, your second vote will be ignored
If a single person receives 51% of the alive players’ votes (rounded up!), they will be executed. EG: If 20 people are alive, 11 votes are needed to execute somebody. This is known as a majority.
If a majority is not reached, execution will be determined by a different method.
Notes about voting:
- You can’t vote for yourself
- Or me
- Or a dead player or non-playing person------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RolesEverybody receives a role at the start of the game.
These roles are
randomly assignedThese roles determine your alignment.
Good players generally have roles that help the innocents
Evil players generally have roles that kill other players
See here for moreRules concerning your role:
No quoting any part of your role (even the little “humorous” things at the start)
No making a role sheet that looks real
No revealing the names of any of your teammates UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Secret PowersSecret powers are separate from your role.
They too are randomly assigned.
All secret powers are prefaced with
WARNING: SECRET POWER
So there is
no excuse for not following the rules about secret powers which are as follows
Rules concerning Secret Powers:
- If a power has not been fully used, you may not discuss it with non-teammates (teammates refers specifically to those mentioned on your role sheet, not just innocents in general etc)
- Powers will generally indicate when they have been “used”, but to clarify – it is when the power has no further use. The power may not be able to be used, and instead be an intrinsic effect. In this case, you may not discuss it unless it is removed
- Unused secret powers will be given to whomever kills the previous holder of the secret power.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ShieldsShields were distributed based on role, previous experience and randomizer.
There are several types of shield, some are mentioned here.
Red Shields 10%
Orange Shields 15%
Green Shields 20%
Purple Shields 30%
Silver Shields 40%
Gold Shields 60%
Most shields reduce by 10% each day (those that do not specifically say so)
Everytime you are attacked, I will use a random number generator to determine the value of the attack.
- If the number is higher than your remaining shield, you will die.
- If the number is equal to your shield, you will survive but your shield will be destroyed
- If the number is lower than your shield number, you will survive, but your shield will take damage equal to the random number
You will not receive updates on your shield’s strength.
NOTE:
If an attack is made on somebody, and it fails because of their shield, the next person on the list will be targeted, however, I will first roll a randomizer (0-100).
If the number is more than 50, the attack will not occur, and I will move to the next person on the list
If the number is less than 50, the attack will occur and I will roll again to check the damage dealt by the attack.
If the next attack fails (or the number was more than 50), I will move to the next person on the list. Again I will generate a random number. If the number is more than 25, the attack will not continue.
Then again but it must be under 13
Then again but it must be under 7
It’s a bit confusing, but effectively the attack will continue to the next person on the list if it fails because of a shield, but it will have a 50% less chance than before of succeeding)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ListsAll roles/special powers should indicate when a list is required and how many are required on said list.
Please title any messages with lists included something like “WW - Werewolf Kill list – N3” so I know what is what. Not required, but would be really nice
Most roles do not require a list, but if you have the ability to send a list, I would really prefer you sent one than ignored your role. I may modkill people if they don’t submit lists as the game doesn’t function when certain roles aren’t used.Role powers activate (generally) in the order that lists are received. The earlier you submit a list, the earlier you perform your action. There are some exceptions to this (EG: Healers protect at the start of night, regardless of when it was received. Roles with this clause will have it mentioned.)

Once Dead / Non-playersNo posting in the main thread (Post in the Groupies Thread instead)
No posting ANY INFORMATION THAT WAS NOT PUBLICALLY KNOWN (IE: Don’t post anything that hadn’t already been revealed or discussed on thread.) Don’t hint at it, don’t subtly mention it. Just forget you know it – Seriously, I will remove your post and ban you from groupies and any further games I host if you breach this.

General Rules- Lying is part of the game. Accept it. Don’t hold it against people and don’t make people promise to tell the truth
- My word is final
- Don’t argue about rulings by me, you may not realize exactly what is going on
- Never quote, paraphrase, screenshot or forward anything I say privately. Additionally, do not lie and say I’ve said something when I haven’t.
- Not really a rule, but please understand I will most likely make a mistake. It happens. It sucks if it happens to you, but try to forgive me if I stuff up (hopefully I won’t)
