The day was cold and damp. There was a certain chill in the air that reminded you of death, despair, and destruction. Somewhere, someone was killing innocent heroes and you began to feel as if there had to be something you could do to stop it all.

You arrive in New York City on this cold day in May. On the roof of the Deveaux building, the heroes stand eying one another curiously.

“Good evening and welcome to New York City, the greatest city in the world. You have been brought here because evil is at work in this great city and heroes, like yourselves, have been killed. This evil must be stopped, but only your heroic abilities can stop these evil forces. Please use your powers for good and review the heroic code below. I will give you 24 hours to discuss who may be evil. We will meet at this time again tomorrow to execute someone, who we all hope is evil.”

Welcome to Werewolf 25: Heroes! In this game, your goal is to survive. The team remaining at the end of the game will be deemed the winners! Each person will receive a role that allows you to impact the game. If anyone should have any questions about their role or the game, a PM is more than welcome

Voting and Executions: Each day, you will receive two votes. You do not have to use both votes each day. When the game reaches 10 players remaining, each person will only receive one vote. Executions are the main way to get rid of evil players, so choose your votes carefully. No execution votes are not allowed.

Votes should be posted in bold as follows:

If your vote is not bolded, it will not be counted.

And if you change your mind about a vote, please unvote the person instead of taking it out of the post with the undesired vote like so:

If you have unvoted someone, please feel free to vote for another person.

Execution will be decided by a majority vote. If more than 51% of the players vote for PERSON X, that person will be executed. Double executions are possible. For that to occur, 76% of players need to vote for PERSON X and 51% of players need to vote for PERSON Y.

Death: Throughout the game, there will be many deaths, both through execution and attacks. If you are dead, you may not post in the active game thread. There will be a special thread created for dead players called “WW25: Nuclear Bomb”. Dead players may post in that thread only and they may not PM undead players. Remember, dead players may come back through resurrections.

Roles: At the start of the game, all players will receive a role sheet. Your role sheet contains information about your powers, abilities, and any teammates. Under no circumstances may you reveal your teammates or quote your role sheet.

Special Powers: Some players may receive special powers throughout the course of the game. A special power is an ability that you may use in addition to your regular role. There are certain rules surrounding these special powers however. If you receive one, you may not discuss it with anyone. The only time an SP may be discussed is after it has been used.

Shields: Everyone in the game has a shield. Shields do not degrade unless you fail to hand in a list or vote for the day. If you fail to turn in a list on time or vote for execution, your shield will degrade by 5%. If you are attacked and you survive the attack, your shield will be reduced by 10%. If you are executed and you survive the execution, your shield will be reduced by 30%.

Day: This is when a majority of your activity will take place. Use this time to discuss voting and executions. “Day” lasts from 11:15 PM EDT (8:15 PM NST/PST) to the next day at 10:30 PM EDT (7:30 PM NST/PST).

Execution: Execution will take place at 10:30 PM EDT (7:30 PM NST/PST). Remember, votes that are not bolded will not count.

Night: This is when a majority of the action will take place. There may be death, destruction, and despair. “Night” will be posted at approximately 11:00 PM EDT (8:00 PM NST/PST).

Lists: Lists must be turned in by 10:30 PM EDT (7:30 PM NST/PST). If I receive your list at 10:31, I will not accept it. The earlier you can turn in your lists, the better. Remember, if I do not receive a list from you and you are supposed to turn one in, your shield will go down by 5%.

When sending your list, please use the following title format:

"Character name, Power you would like to use, Day #"

This will help me keep track of everything

Inactivity: You need to be active to play this game successfully. If you have told me ahead of time that you may be somewhat inactive, then we already have an understood agreement. If you just stop voting and sending night lists, we have a major problem. In addition to shield degrades, you may be modkilled if you fail to vote and/or send in a list 3 times.

Aw, Mayan, do we have to change it? It would be so amusing just to send our lists to you in that format and have you way confused... Just kidding! I usually use a format similar to that anyways when sending lists.
