Simple: Answer the question asked by the person above you and ask a new one. Try to ask open-ended questions: do not provide a list of choices or an either-or quetion for best results.

Lazing about! I still have some homework to do for tomorrow! Sure, it'll take me 15 minutes to do it, but then you have to consider that I'm gonna be watching DVD's during it, and that stretches the time from 15 minutes to 15 hours.

yea, i had a student teacher, who thought that the chemical symbol for water was HO2! (i think that she was very nervou, and just made a mistake, but was to embarrassed to rectify it! lol!)
