Guess the Number!

Thu Feb 09, 2006 5:51 am

Here's everyone's favorite game... Guess the Number!

I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 10000. Everyone gets to ask Yes or No questions about it, and I'll answer them. The first person to get it, if you play Neopets, gets an item worth 10,000 Neopoints! If you don't, then you get warm fuzzies :D .

Anyway, I'll give you a clue to get you started: The sum of its digits is more than 15. Start asking questions!

So far we know...

The number is an integer
The number is not prime
The number is not even
The number is not under 5000
The number is divisible by another four-digit number
That I am getting really tired of updating this, so now you'll have to look through the topic.

Yes. (And if I really wanted to be picky, I could tell you that the number is divisible by itself, but meh).

I was fearing that answer.

One last question before I stop caring for a while: is the number evenly divisible by more than one prime number (knowing that 5 is prime)?

What does divisible by itself mean...kinda dense here. And example would be swell as well...

is the number higher than 7500

Divisible means 'dividable by.' If a number is evenly divisible, it gives integer (whole number) answers. 10 is evenly divisible by 5 to get 2 (10/5=2). 3 is divisible by 2 to give 1.5 (3/2=1.5).
