PPT School

Thu Aug 11, 2005 1:30 am

This is an RP, but a fun, pointless kind of one.

You can type in proper RP format if you want to or *in stars like so*. You can even switch around if you'd like.

Since it is school time again, I thought it be fun to have a PPT school! Who knows what they will teach there!

You can be virtually any character, from a teacher, to a student, to the crazy old janitor who picks his nose.

PPT school is a very very large school, that has grades K-12, and even a college attached. You don't have to play you're real age if you don't want to.

Any one can jump in, there is no sign ups. I'll start.

Zega clutched her messenger bag strap tightly between her fingers as she walked in the front door to PPT School. She recently moved to the city, so this was her first year. Looking at her schedule, Zega noticed that her homeroom was in room 106. After about ten minutes trying to find it, she finally located it and walked in. There were only a few other students in the room. Zega sat down at a desk and took out a notebook and a pencil. She began to doodle to pass time.

Maureen coughed and looked around her new classroom. A girl carrying a messenger bag had just walked in and started drawing. Maureen wanted to do the same, but forgot her sketchbook on the way out the door. She crossed her arms and leaned back in her seat, trying to concentrate on all the people there. Her and...this other girl. Well, there were a few more people, but this girl looked more interesting. She decided to make the best of things and moved over next to her.
"Hey," she said, trying not to sound nervous. "I'm Maureen."

[:o Sounds fun.]

The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, the birds were chirping, and somewhere in a corridor of the vast school, a small asian girl was lost.

Jade dodged a passing skateboarder, only to have a small primary-schooler smash into her. She almost tripped, but reached a hand out to the wall to steady herself just in time, and muttered a hurried, "It's okay," to the apologetic child over the loud screeching of a teacher ('HOW DARE YOU SKATEBOARD IN THE SCHOOL CORRIDORS,') then rushed off through the crowds again, her brows creased in worry.

She consulted the crumpled piece of paper clutched tightly in her hand again. She was supposed to be in her homeroom, though she had absolutely no idea where it was. Stupid school, can't they provide new students with a map or something? she thought, irritated.

She sighed, halting her steps, and glanced back down at the piece of paper again. It was then that she found out what "PPT" stood for.

'What the hell? "Pink Poogle Toy?" Who names a school "Pink Poogle Toy?"' she exclaimed.

Zega slightly jumped when she heard a voice, then realized it was speaking to her. She turned toward a girl who introduced herself as Maureen. "Hi..." She stammered out, "I'm Zega. I'm new..."

As Cat pushed open the door of Room 106, he glanced around. A couple of girls chatting, someone scribbling away on a pad of paper...

He sighed. This classroom was all too familiar. Cat had completely failed school last year, and so he had to take his grade all over again. This year, he promised to himself, he wouldn't be distracted. This year he would pay attention and not hang out with the wrong crowd. This year, he would pass with outstanding grades.

He set his jaw, marched over to a desk in the front row, sat down, and took out the book they were supposed to read over the summer.

((I'm not much of an RPer {Can you tell?} , but this sounds fun. ))

Zega nodded her head over at the boy in the front of the room. He just entered. "Don't you think he looks a little too old to be in this classroom?" She asked Maureen in a whisper, raising one eyebrow.

After staring at the school name for another few seconds, Jade sighed and decided she better find her homeroom soon. She tried asking people.

'Excuse me, do you know where room-'

The guy brushed her aside before she had even finished. She tried somebody else.

'Uh, I'm lost, do you know-'

But the group of girls had disappeared in a flash. Annoyed, she attempted, one last time, to catch somebody's attention.

'Hello? I'm a new student here, and I-'

Exasperated at being ignored thrice in a row, she ran a hand through her hair in frustration. She felt like thrusting her arms up into the air and yelling, "I'M NEW AND I NEED TO GET TO ROOM ONE-OH-SIX" but she didn't feel really feel like making an impression as a weirdo on her first day. So she fell silent and glowered at everybody she passed as she walked along the corridors.

Maureen chuckled and turned to look at Cat. "That's Cat. He kind of...falied last year. Has to repeat the grade." She snapped back to Zega. "So. You like to draw?"

Sock fell into the classroom, waving her arms to keep balance - it didn't work. She blinked, glancing around at the students and waving to those she knew. "Ow," was her only comment. She combed a hand through her hair, shifted her uber bag of doom on to her hip, and bent down to tie the laces of her Chuck Taylors.

Zega glanced at the girl who just walked in for a second, then shifted her attention back to Maureen. "I guess, I don't draw that well, its just doodles..."

Mandy walked in through the school doors, and had a look around. PPT, the school she had come to last year. It was good to be back, the holiday's had been pretty boring. Looking around she noticed many new faces. Although she didn't talk much, it was nice to be around such a busy corridor again.

Pushing herself along the wall to avoid walking through the crowds, she noticed an asian girl asking around for directions yet everyone ignored her.

"Being new can be tough.." Mandy mumble to herself, making her way to the girl.

"Hi, are you lost?"

Mark walked into the kindergarten classroom.

"Hey," he said. "What's this?" A couple of littluns pointed at the sign reading, "The PPT School," then went back to crying about a Beast that lives in the sink. "Er, okay, then, a PPT school. Why is this is NNV and not the Role-Playing board?"

"I dunno, but I reckons Mista Radley had sumtin' ta do wit' it," a small girl with short brown hair said. "Lemme go ask ma brother Jem."

"No, that's okay," Mark said. "I'll just wait here until someone else passes by and can answer."

Josh walked in through the doors, hopefully the vents had been recently shined and/or waxed. The year before he had found the way to get to a different form room than to his own, but now, as luck would have it, it was his. He snuck into a broom cupboard, but not before throwing out a stink bomb into the hall, and climbed up and into the vent.

He lay down and pushed himself as hard as he could, before that had just gotten him to the end of the vent, but he had gotten stronger over the summer. CRASH. He flew straight into the vent and into the classroom and smashed his back on a desk.

"Ow, that was fun. I'm gonna do it every day!" He yelled. Just then he realized that everyone was looking at him.

"Hi!" He said, then noticed a new girl. "And what's your name baby?" He asked putting on his funny flirt voice.

Michael, a new face at PPT, walked through the large oak doors, eyeing them suspiciously. An emblem of a strange smiling dog-like creature was engraved onto the panels of the door, with the name Pink Poogle Toy written on them.

'Pink Poogle Toy?' he thought to himself as he slunk through the overly crowded corridors. 'Strange...'

The school itself was odd, but in a way that was hard to describe. There was just something about the mood of the school that was very unlike any other school he attended. The school even smelt strange. As he walked down the halls to his homeroom, a terrible smell like that of rotten turnips and insect repellant reached his nose. He saw people around him blocking their noses, but still going on their regular business, as if the presence of the smell was nothing out of the ordinary.

Turning around, he decided to try and find another way to his homeroom. After a few turns and stairwells however, he was thouroughly lost.
"Ahh... any help?" he asked a girl who was walking past him chatting animatedly to her friends. She looked at him from the corner of her eye for a moment, but just continued walking.
"Okaaay..."
Another girl with a purposeful look in her face was walking past. Seizing the moment, Michael asked her, "Excuse me, but could you tell me where I could find my homeroom?" She looked startled for a moment as she stared at him, then just kept on walking, muttering something that sounded like 'newbie' under her breath.

Resigning, Michael just sat down on a bench and pulled out his mp3 player. 'Bugger it,' he thought to himself, as he pressed the PLAY button. 'I'll just wait till the bell rings'.

Mr. Bobbins wandered down the hall towards his new class. He dreaded seeing them, the dirty, unclean little annoying kids he had to teach.

Maybe this year will be better than last He thought to himself, hopefully.

He was the teacher to always have the pranks pulled. He had been covered in paint and feathers, had had a wig glued to his head, and had had countless things stolen.

He rubbed the top of his balding head for luck, and then entered into the room.

"Er...Hello class...if you could just…please...you know...stop talking...please?" Mr. Bobbins asked.
