What is Petpet wars?
Petpet wars is a game played similarly to Werewolf with one large twist: No one dies. Except for mod killing, every person stays alive during the game. But instead of each person having their own role and powers, every one has petpets. Hidden under cloaks issued to each player are dozens of different petpets which give that player different roles, powers, and ultimately decide weather that player is good or evil. Each player starts the game with 1 petpet, but than can easily change. Petpet are prone to move from player to player during the night, while when one petpet dies, a new petpet might be randomly assigned to a different player. All of this leaves the game in constant limbo - you never know when the petpet and thus role you’ve had for 5 days will suddenly disappear!
The goal of petpet wars.
Much like Werewolf, PPW(petpet wars) is a “team” game. There is a side of innocent petpets, and a side of evil petpets. The innocents want to destroy the evil petpets and visa versa. However, unlike werewolf, PPW isn’t a team game-at the end is every man, woman, werewolf or meepit-obsessed monster of itself. You see, while in werewolf the game is over when one team wins, petpets are constantly being replenished in this game. There are 20 “tracks” of petpets. Once one petpet dies, it is replaced (by being randomly assigned) by the a random petpet in the track. Thus killing an evil petpet simply means another evil petpet appears on someone else! As it is impossible to totally defeat a team, having it a team game doesn’t work. Instead, different actions give each player a certain number of points(or take points from them). This could include executing a player with an evil petpet, protecting an innocent petpet from an attack, or in the case of an evil petpet, killing a powerful petpet. After the time limit runs up(2 weeks = days), points are totaled and the person with the most points wins!
A day in petpet wars
PPW’s day is split into three parts. Day, night, and morning.
Day lasts from the end of morning to 5 PM NST.(this of course is subject to change if I cant get on right in time).
Night then lasts from the end of Day to 30 minutes after the end of day. Thus it will normally end at 5:30.
Morning then lasts from the end of night until im done
During the day, players talk amongst themselves about who they should execute at the end of the day. Instead of in Werewolf, where votes are posted clear as day in the game topic, votes are secretly pmed to me. Each petpet has a set amount of voting power and gets to make their own set of votes. A set of votes means two names that that petpet would like to vote for. At the end of the day, I will total all votes, factoring the voting power of the petpets who voted, and the two people with the most votes will be executed. Of course, executed simply means all of the petpets on that player die. Each petpet(unless other wise specified) must use all of their voting power on one person for each vote. However, if you have 3 petpets they can each vote for their own 2 differnt people. Petpets need not vote. They are allowed to vote for just one person or for no person. You simply must tell me they are not voting. They cannot cast both votes on the same person. You can not vote for no execution, thus two players will always “die” each day. No voting is simply a way of showing your active without risking the points of killing an innocent petpet. After day ends, night will start.
During the night (or the day before hand), players send me their lists for their petpets. The petpets roles will describe what should be on the list. Please send the lists for all of the petpets in the same message. After night ends, I will compile all of the lists and post what happened, including who was targeted and which petpets died. After night ends, morning will start.
During the morning I reply to peoples dreams and move the petpets than need to be moved. This will last as long as it takes me.
Please do not send lists or vote during the morning as your petpet may be moved. Once I have done all the morning activities, I will post that the next day has begun and the cycle will repeat.
Points
As said before, the goal of PPW is to get the most points. You get points by preforming an action with your petpet which is benfical to your team(if you have an evil petpet, you are on the evil team, if you have no evil petpets, then you are on the innocent team); and by executing petpets on the other team. Preforming an action harmful to your team or executing petpets on your team causes you to lose points. Each petpet is given a certain rank, platinum, gold, silver, bronze, black and converted. Platinum petpets are those very important innocent petpets. Gold petpets are those important innocent petpets. Silver petpets are those somewhat important innocent petpets. Bronze petpets are those other innocent petpets, and black petpet are all those evil petpets. Converted petpets are those normally good petpets who are owned by a person with an evil petpet and thus now are considered evil Role themselves will tell you what actions give you points, execution wise points are awarded as follows:
Innocents:
-5 points for executing a Platinum petpet, -3 for a gold, -2 for a silver, -1 for a bronze, +5 for an black and +1 for a converted.
Evil:
-5 for a black, -1 for a converted, 0 for a bronze, +1 for a silver, +2 for a gold, and +3 for a platinum.
Likewise, getting executed causes you to lose 2 points plus one point for every petpet you own.
In addition, for each petpet which you do not send a voting list for(not voting counts as sending a list) you will lose two points. You also loose two points if you do not send in a night time list and your role requires that you do so.
Cloaks:
Each player has a silver threaded cloak underwhich their petpets are hid. Their cloak also has a chance of protecting the player’s petpets from death when the player is targeted. Each cloak starts with a 10% chance of protection. If the player is targeted and the cloak protects, the protection percentage will drop in half. There may or may not be ways to increase ones cloak percentage during the game.
Extra things:
Discussing petpets and their, including those you have now or had previously is fine. But you also ARE NOT allowed to quote any PM’s from me. This also applies to both on the game topic or privatly with another player.
You ARE NOT allowed to post any private chat conversations that you had with another player unless that player gives me their consent.
Lieing is part of the game and is allowed. You are NOT allowed to swear, back up promises with neopoints/other items-or do anything else that a person who was actually evil could not do.
Betrayal is part of the game. If you are in an alliance and you suddenly turn bad it is perfectly fine to kill off those players you know the petpets of, as well as tell other people who may be bad so they can die even faster.
In the same way, allthough points will not be given out until the very end of the game if you feel that a certain innocent has alot of points-you are allowed to try and stop him from ganging points even if it might not be in the teams best interest as a whole. The goal of the game is to get the most points - you get points by helping your team, but the self comes before the team in this game.
Each player must vote, or tell me they are not voting, for all their petpets every day. If they do not vote twice in a row they will be warned. Three times means they will be removed from the game and i’ll look to replace them.
Also please be reasonably active on the game topic. If you are not being very active I will give you a warning and ask that you become more active.

Anyways, as despite the large differences, this game has many of the same underling threads that WW has. Hence first priority in signups go to anyone who missed the WW signups. Those who made the signups are still allowed to join, but will be stuck at first on the “waiting list” after I close signups, I will fill in the extra spots with those on the waiting list. Only 20 spots exists... so get your seats while you can!
To sign up post:
1. “I want to play”
2. The name of your favorite species of petpet.
3. The color cloak you want.
4. (only for those who were able to sign up for ww). Tell me why you want to play. I may factor it in when choosing which of you guys gets to fill up the empty seats(assuming there are empty seats-though more than likly I wont even get 20
)
Signups will probably close sometime on friday
