Welcome to The PPT Apprentice You may remember this contest from the Old Forums and after being constantly PMed about restarting it, I have. This contest will test you on everything from your decorating skills to your writing skills.

Synopsis

The PPT Apprentice is a contest looking for the most creative person. You have to have an imagination to enter this contest, no imagination, no entry. Unlike last time, there will be a form to fill out and you must send it to me by PM. 16 PPTers will be chosen to compete for the Grand Prize of 100k. This may be the easiest 100k earned or it can be the hardest, depends on your thinking. I will also have a form for anyone who wishes to be a Judge. You must PM that to me as well.

Once a week, I will put a Task which will require, you guessed it, your imagination! As said before it can be from your decorating skills to your writing skills. You must post your task after you have completed it, on this thread. After each task is thoroughly assessed by the Judges and I, I will fire two people. This will happen until only person is left, and is crowned The PPT Apprentice.

Final Boardroom

Welcome to the Final Boardroom. This is the last stop for one contestant and the beginning for another. Both Fizzy and hellyer have done their best in the competition and this is why they are both standing here today. You outdid the rest of the competitors and I applaud you for that. However, only one of you can be The PPT Apprentice, hopefully both of you will take this as a learning experience, that you accomplished something great. I would continue to type more about you but I must continue with this boardroom.

hellyer: You created the world 'Neollywood Island' which revolved itself around Neopian celebrities. This was an original theme and the use of various Neopian celebrities such as Branston the Eyrie supported your theme. You had 10 attractions which consisted of games, shops, a club, a movie theater, a hotel and a bank! Each with an original idea and some of them even had history behind them. However, with all the said and done, there was a problem. Your plot line was fairly weak, it didn't wow me whatsoever and it mirrored the Coltzan's Crown plot. Someone stole the Elixir of Life and now Neopia has to face death instead of eternal youth. It didn't really catch my attention because it was a standard plot. It was good for what it was but nothing out of the blue. I believe your imagination was a little lacking at that point. However, your attractions made up for the slightly weak plot.

Fizzy: You created the world Shadowplain which was formerly known as Gupela. Your world was very original, it took us to the other side of Neopia where many have wondered what exactly lurks there. Your theme was original however I believe Dr. Sloth controlled the Grundo's as the Wizard controlled the citizens. That was a similarity I caught between your idea and Neopets but you quickly made me forget that similarity with the rest of your plot. A world which is frozen in time, Neopets which are frozen in time (age wise) was a wonderful idea. It was something I have never seen on Neopets and I won't be shocked if they steal this plot from you. The villain itself, the wizard and what he did to run Shadowplain was very interesting. The school he created, the things citizens needed to do progress more in magic. The neopedia article left me in suspense, you ended it wonderfully and I was hoping you'd write more but than I'd figure out that would take you a while.

In result I would have to say this, Fizzy You're Hired!

The PPT Apprentice 2

Yes, there will be The PPT Apprentice 2 with new twists and even harder tasks. The prize will be 150k instead of 100k and there will be 18 participants instead of 16 participants. Previous participants may not compete and there will be 3 Judges. But there is on catch, The PPT Apprentice 2 will be accepting participants in December 2004 or July 2005. Therefore you will all have to wait quite a while. Good luck to all who apply for The PPT Apprentice 2!

Important Announcement

I understand that some PPTers may not go on Neopets. You are still able to participate. You may not have the same Tasks as the other contestants but you will be assessed fairly all the same.

I realise that many PPTers cannot make graphics, I myself can't. But I would still like to know if you are able too or not.

If you are going to be away for a task (Applies to Contestant or Judge) please inform me in advance. And I will setup something for you.

I have the right to dismiss a Judge or a Participant if I feel they aren't co-operating or if they're not up to the challenge (Judge: Confused, don't know how to grade, never give any ideas for Tasks, etc.. or Participant: Never finish a Task on time, always busy, never put any effort into your Task etc...) If you have a problem with this, please PM me.

Huh? But, it's still Wednesday! I was just working on my entry now! Urgh... cheapness. I didn't really expect to win at this task, but I didn't really expect to get aced out all together...

Meh, I guess it's your competition though. "He who has the gold, makes the rules."

If you had checked earlier it said this Task was to close at 3pm EST due to a party I'm at. Plus it was originally due on Tuesday but due to the lack of entries I extended the date. If it was due today than I would've stopped accepting entries tomorrow.

Wait, so Ammer, should I do this task now or not? I am sort of confused. Is this like a new task?
