Hey everyone, I've decided to start a Legend of Zelda roleplay. You don't have to be familiar with the series or have played any of the games, but if you need any info please PM me and I'll try to help you out. Now on to the RP....

* * * *

Introduction/Background Story

The dark lord Ganon once again kidnapped Princess Zelda and took over the land of Hyrule. The Hylians merely waited, confident that the legendary Hero of Time would come and save them.

Now, 10 years later, the Hero of Time has still not come to save Hyrule.

The Kokiri Forest, home of the Kokiri Children and their fairy guardians, has been reduced to the clearing surrounding the Great Deku Tree. The area where it used to be is now only the Lost Woods.

The Kakariko Village, once the main town of Hyrule and home to many kind Hylians, is filled with thieves and ghosts. It is now known as the Village of Outcasts.

Death Mountain, active volcano and home to the rock-like Goron people, constantly pumps smoke into the air and the Gorons work as slave miners in it.

The Zora's Domain, supplier of water around Hyrule and home to the fish-like Zora people, has frozen over and Lake Hylia has dried up, the Zora who remain are forced to live at the bottom of the lake in the little water that remains.

The Gerudo Valley and Fortress, home to the thieving Gerudo people, now have constant rain, and the Haunted Wasteland has been changed from a desert into a swamp because of this rain.

The only place where Hylians can live is as Dark Hylians (followers of Ganon) in the marketplace surrounding Hyrule Castle, or in the Lon Lon Ranch (as followers of the royal family).

Bios for the Main Characters

Name: Tiir
Gender: Female
Race: Hylian
Appearance: The effect of her stony eyes is made all the more prominent my her face; with sharp featues and high cheekbones. Her ears extend gracefullyup to a pointed tip; sometimes holding her mid-length blonde hair in order; other times allowing her unruly locks to fall randomly. She is of average height for her age, with a willowy, fit figure.
Personality: Often underestimated, she tries her best to be a figure to look up to, despite the state of Hyrule. One thing that is undeniable, though, is her inddomitable spirit and stubbornness.
History: Tiir's parents are both deceased, and she lives with an elderly uncle. Her uncle is one of the few remaining in Hyrule who still support the Royal Family.
Place of Birth: Hyrule Marketplace
Weapons and Items: Hero's Sword, Hylian Shield, Boomerang, Hookshot.
Medallion: Light

Name: Maya
Gender: Female
Race: Sheikah
Appearance: Taller than the average Hylian, with pointed ears. Her hair is a light brown.
Personality: Mysterious and Shady. She is always trying to protect the Hylians. She is calm, and thinks about what she is saying before she says it.
History: Unkown descendant of the Ancient Sheikah. She has been able to talk to the spirits as long as she can remember. She recently fell down a well, very recently in fact, and found a strange item called the Lens of Truth.
Place of Birth: Kakariko Village
Weapons and Items: Lens of Truth, Mask of Truth
Medallion: Shadow

Name: Elily
Gender: Female
Fairy's Name: Aurora
Race: Kokiri
Appearance: Looks like a child of 8. Has light, soft blue shoulder-length hair, deep violet eyes, pointed ears. Has a cute and mischevious smile.
Personality: Inquisitive, she likes to wander about. Elily can talk to animals, a gift which prove useful at most times. She likes to daydream and is usually cheerful.
History: The Kokiri children have mostly disappeared, and their race almost extinct. She managed to survive by retreating deep into the forest, but she knew that it wouldn't be long till she would be forced to leave the forest itself, or suffer death.
Place of Birth: Kokiri Forest
Weapons and Items: Deku Shield, Deku Stick, Fairy Slingshot
Medallion: Forest

Name: Glyr
Gender: Male
Race: Goron
Appearance: Large, for normal Gorons, nearly a head taller than most. Big burly arms that reach to the ground and the brand of the Spiritual Stone of Fire on his left shoulder.
Personality: Rough, often angry due to being forced to work in the mines.
History: A decendant of Biggoron, Glyr is a master craftsman and can identify any raw metals by smell alone. Though he is nearly the size of a normal goron, he is stronger than most, a testament to the powerful blood that flows in his viens.
Place of Birth: Death Mountain
Weapons and Items: Mostly Bomb Flower Bombs, and a strange medallion that he found, he calls it, the Bombos Medallion. Will get a Bomb Bag later as well as the Ether and Quake Medallions.

Name: Nunaamr'e
Gender: male
Race: Zora
Appearance: Elegant, yet strong, blue tinted skin, no hair but a fin instead. The fin is always slightly arched, almost pointed downward has a tail like a fish(as per usual) and 2 fins on his arms.
Personality: calm and peaceful, although he has always felt the need since he was very young to weild a bow with arrows, along with a sword and fight the evil Ganon
History: He has a special gift which keeps him wet at all times, so he can go without water for days. He suspects this gift came from a visiting faerie from the kokiri forest, sent by the deku tree, he believes this as there is a story among the zoras that a faerie visited them at the time of his birth...
Place of Birth: Zora's Domain
Weapons and Items: Boomerang Fins, a blueish tinted bow and a small sword, almost a short sword. They are always buckled to his back.
Medallion: Water

Name: Chiisa Kyozoku
Gender: Female
Race: Gerudo
Appearance: Rather short for her young age, she was only six when all of this happened and is now sixteen year old. She has rather tanned skin for someone of her race. Some have said that sometime in the past Hylian blood was added to her bloodline. That would certainly explain her un-tanned skin and it would also explain her hair color. It was a light red color, that hung mid-back, though it bright streaks of white and silver in it. It was always worn in a braid. And she was looked at differently because of her rather odd appearance compared to the rest of her direct family.
Personality: Chiisa Kyozoku, or Kyo as she preferred to be called was always rather sneaky and maybe even a bit arrogant at times. She came from a proud group of Gerudo thieves. Though, of course she was never thought of as much as the others because of her stature and her success rate.
History: She is a fighter, and even though her appearance may not show it she holds a strong and rough spirit. She is rather good at stealing and one of few Gerudo who can swim. She was always tying to help as a child, but she was only good at sneaking around and stealing from those in her family; thought over the years her skills have grown, she has not. However, her childlike appearance usually gives her an advantage. Most think her to be just a child, when in fact she’s well into her teenage years.
Place of Birth: Gerudo Valley
Weapons and Items: Gerudo Sword, Stone of Agony.
Medallion: Spirit

Small Note

I'm sorry if the bios are very detailed and picky. Just use the notes in the brackets as guidelines, and feel free to be creative.

PM me your bio and I will tell you whether you can be part of this RP.
There will be 6 main characters, one of each race. Other characters can still be apart of the RP, they can be any race although they can't have any of the special powers of the 6 main characters. (Except my character 'cause she's special.)

If there are any problems or you want to ask me a question feel free to PM me.

Starting Story

Kaepora Gaebora, the wise old owl, circled over Hyrule surveying the state it was in after 10 years of Ganon's rule. He then swooped down towards Hyrule Castle and soared through an open window into the Temple of Time. The Temple was filled with dust and dirt, and the three Spiritual Stones sat in their pedestal, except that now only puddles of melted gold and shards of Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire remained. The door to the Sacred Realm had been completely obliterated by Ganon, and a small stream of blue light shone within, except the blue light was surrounded by swirling blackness which kept it contained for the past 10 years.

Inside that blue light 6 tiny orbs of colour floated around like tiny fairies without wings. There was a green, red, blue, purple, orange and yellow light. Also, within that sacred blue light, were two more orbs of colour. One was larger than the 6 orbs, it was made of multicoloured light and a shining symbol of the Triforce was held within it. The other was very small and was a pale pink, it had tiny wings and fluttered protectively near the other.

Kaepora Gaebora hooted softly, "Do not worry my friends. For I have finally found it, it was buried deep within the soil in the darkest part of the Lost Woods, and it took most of the Great Deku Tree's remaining strength to free it." Beating his strong wings, Kaepora swooped down towards the blue light. At the last moment, before hitting the darkness surrounding it, he flew upwards, tossing the sacred sword in his talons towards the blue light.

The Master Sword cut through the darkness, the symbol of the Triforce repelling the evil surrounding the blue light. It landed vertically, plunging into the stone which held it before Ganon had come. A bright light filled the Temple, and Kaepora watched as the six Sages emerged from the Sacred Realm. Saria of the Forest, Darunia of the Fire, Ruto of the Water, Impa of the Shadow, Nabooru of the Spirit, and Rauru of the Light. Behind them stood Link, the Hero of Time, and his treasured companion Navi.

Saria, Darunia and Ruto stepped towards the Spiritual Stones, they used some of their remaining power to restore them to their original form. Saria turned to the owl, "Take these to the Lon Lon Ranch for us Kaepora." The owl nodded, "I shall give them to Malon, she can protect them until they are needed again." The six Sages stepped back into the Sacred Realm, "We shall return the Medallions to the Temples, only true heroes will be able to retrieve them from the Temples." Link then walked out of the Sacred Realm, he handed Kaepora the Ocarina of Time, "Take this somewhere, and when it is needed again let it be found." The Sages and Link then stood within the Sacred Realm and waited for Kaepora to seal the entrance so that they could finally unite with the Goddesses.

Kaepora took the three Spiritual Stones out of the pedestal, and watched the large stone doors close upon the Sacred Realm.

Anjiel quietly shut the door to the Ranch House she shared with her mother. She walked into the stable and lead Kolomar out onto the race track. (Kolomar was a dark brown horse with a long gray mane and tail, he only allowed Anjiel to ride on him and could be called with Epona's Song.) Anjiel climbed onto his saddle, and tugged at the reins, Kolomar began a slow trot which quickly changed into a gallop. He ran three laps of the track before Anjiel slowed him down and watched the sun rise over the ranch house. "You ride very well dear," Anjiel whipped her head around and came face-to-face with an old owl. She chuckled, "Kaepora, you scared me. What are you doing here anyway? I haven't seen you for at least year." Kaepora chuckled to himself, "Some people will be arriving soon, I'm going to stay here until they arrive." Anjiel looked at him, slightly confused, "Okay then. I'm sure mother won't mind." She then dismounted Kolomar and lead him back to the stables.

((Yay! I have 6 main characters, and two extras :P You can still join as a side character though.))

"Hee! Maya fell down a well!"

Maya nodded, tenderly feeling her arm. After a second or two, she decided it might bruise, but nothing worse than that.

She looked up at the Spirit that had addressed her. "Yes, Oku. Maya fell down a well." At this, a second spirit, Oka, giggled.

Oku and Oka had followed Maya everywhere, for almost as long as she could remember. At this reflection, Maya shook her head lightly. No, not always. They didn't go outside the town limits, not ever. She remembered one time, when they had seemed older than her, she had wanted to play a trick on her mother, but when the two Spirits would not leave the town, she did not leave either.

She saw them as two children, possibly twins. Oku was a little boy of about eight, Oka a girl of the same age. What species they were, she could not guess, although they may have been Hylian. A blue light surrounded both of them, and had it not been for that light, she may not have been able to see at all.

"Maya! I found something. Come here, and help me figure out what it is!" Oka called, a big grin on her face.

Nodding, Maya neared the Spirit. She carefully took the item in her hand and examined it. "It seems to be a lens of some sort, Oka." she said after awhile, pocketing the item.

"Hey! I found it!" Oka grumbled, putting on a pouty face.

"Yes, but I get to keep it. At least for now." Maya said. "Now, we need to find a way to get out of here, I'm soaked."

"Aaw, are you sure you want to go? It is so fun down here! Oh well. Here is a staircase, you can leave through that." Oku said. Nodding silently, Maya walked up the staircase and left the well behind.

Nunaamr'e was standing in the 'square fence' as the people of the land liked to call it, as there was a curious fence that circled a small square of land for no apparent reason. Nunaamr'e had always thought that it might have been an outpost for guarding the lake from enemies. He was out here this day because the other few remaining zora had felt that he had this interesting gift for a reason, and that he should find out the reason for it all. His gills always seemed to be searching for water, they never seemed to have adapted to beeing out of water. He knew that there were many pores on him that drew the moisture out of the air. He swung his arm exparimentally and then he swung his arm out, and with great accuracy he flung a boomarang fin at a nearby rock. The rock shattered, and feeling he was ready, hopped over the fence and headed down to Lon Lon ranch, one of the few safe sanctuarys left that would let him in.

(Oich, I forgot about the part at starting at the entrance to the Hyrule field, but I did want to show you guys how I got the Lens of Truth.)

The two Spirits had stopped. It took Maya a second to figure out why. She had left the village limits. The Spirits would go no further. She smiled sadly at them. "Sorry, you two. I'll come back, I promise. But I need to get out of the village... there's not much to do here anymore."

"It... it's alright, Maya. We'll be waiting. Perhaps we will find someone else to play with." Oka said, and then there was a slight shimmer as the dissappeared.

"Good-bye, Oka, Oku. Whatever I promised, I feel I may not be coming back." Maya knew the Spirits would not hear her, as she no longer felt their presense. Sighing, she conitinued on.

She continued on until she came to a River. There was a bridge to cross it, but she paused, unsure. This was the farthest she had ever been away from home. She turned back to look, but no longer could she see her village. Well, there was only one way to go, then.

Sighing once more, she continued across the bridge, and continued on until she came to a field.

((It's okay Twizz. I don't mind if you add some background story about your character to this, in fact it probably makes it more enjoyable because our characters become very detailed.))

Anjiel wandered around the Lon Lon Ranch, it had grown into something of a village in the last ten years and was bustling with life now that dawn had come. Apart from the Ranch House and Stables, there were many more houses and buildings which surrounded the Race Track in the centre of the ranch. There was a blacksmith, which made weapons and horseshoes, a dairy, which made milk and cheese, and even a cuckoo shop, which sold eggs, roast cuckoos and feathers. But Anjiel's favourite place was the archery range, here she could pay 20 rupees and spend time improving her archery skills, as well as win prizes because she was the best archer on the ranch.

At noon Anjiel took Kolomar out of the stables again, she slung her bow over her shoulder and strapped her sword and shield to her back. Then she galloped out of the ranch and onto Hyrule Field. She circled the outer wall of the ranch, shooting stray poes and even taking down two large peahats. The field had become infested with fiends, and Anjiel made it her responsibility to protect the ranch and to ensure that any random travellers wouldn't get attacked by fiends.

Anjiel galloped around the field, and was surprised to see a traveller coming down from the Kakariko Village, now known as the Village of Outcasts. Anyone from the village was usually a thief, but this girl did not appear as if she was. Anjiel cautiously slowed down Kolomar and looked down at the traveller. "Where are you bound for traveller?"

"Where I am bound for, I do not know, for I have only just begun travelling. My name is Maya, and I come with peaceful intentions." Maya said, looking up at the rider. She did not know if she could trust the rider, however, it would be best to stay on her good side, at least for now.

"My friends and family I have left behind at my home in Kakariko Village. I knew no place other than there."

Anjiel nodded, as far as she could tell this girl could be trusted. "I am Anjiel of Lon Lon Ranch. If you do not know where you are bound then perhaps you should come back with me there. It is a place of sanctuary for all who support the royal family and oppose the dark lord Ganon." Anjiel held out her hand for the girl, "Kolomar will not hurt you, and it is much faster if he takes us to the ranch, and much safer too."

Maya paused for a minute, then nodded, holding out her hand. She knew the reputation her village had, and knew of the many ghosts it had held within. Perhaps the Lens that Oka had found was something that had once been stolen.

If it was, she would have to be careful. After all, noone she knew would believe she could talk to Ghosts, and them in return.

Anjiel hoisted Maya onto Kolomar's back then spurred him on towards the ranch again. They crossed part of the field when a giant peahat came flying towards them, its large blades spinning dangerously. Anjiel nooked an arrow to her bow and took aim, she pulled the string back and let the arrow loose. It embedded itself in the soft underflesh of the creature and Anjiel spurred Kolomar away from the creature before it could injure any of them.

Finally they arrived at the ranch, Malon was brushing some of the horses in the centre of the race track. Anjiel leaped off Kolomar and helped Maya off before walking over to her mother. "Good day mother, I have brought a traveller from the Kakariko Village. She was wandering the Hyrule Field when I found her." Malon looked at the girl suspisciously before her face broke into a smile. "Greetings child, and welcome to Lon Lon Ranch. You can stay here for as long as you wish. I am Malon, the owner of the ranch. And this is my daughter Anjiel, whom you've already met."

"Chiisa Kyozoku...Chiisa Kyozoku..." Some of the older and self-proclaimed best of their familes teased and sneered."Chiisa Kyozoku..."

"It's Kyo!" a young girl yelled back, her arm crossed. "I may be a part of your clan...but I'm nothing like you! I'll be one of the people to save you all one day...then you'll be the little one."

The others just laughed at the girl. "...You're not one of us...you're not a pureblood...your family was tainted..." one girl spat out. "Just go out into the fields where you belong...or better yet...wander into the swamp..." The group of Gerudo laughed at the comment

"Fine! Maybe I will go out and search for something to save you all from the evil that has ruled over this land for so very long..." she called out as she turned and stromed out towards Hyrule field.

You see Kyozoku hated her name...and she hated those in her valley that knew her past. She hated her name because it roughly translates to bandit, so the others gave her the nickname Chiisa...which means little. So she was always known as Little Bandit. She hated that, though, it was nothing she could change right off. She had to do something to make them realize what she was really like...and of course, what she could really do.

(( ImageSorry 'bout that...slipped my mind...then again it is late...and yea...fixing now...))

((Nice intro Anime_Queen, just one thing... the Haunted Wasteland and Gerudo Valley were changed from a desert into a swamp.... very bad for Gerudo who can't swim, and for the Gerudo's lifestyle in general. But its no biggie, jus' wanted to point that out :P ))

He had been walking for abit when he suddenly saw Anjiel hoist up Maya onto the pony and take off for the ranch. This perked his curiousty from what he had heard from the Gerudo not many dared venture out from the safe haven. It was then he noticed the somewhat wounded giant peahat coming his way. HE took the oprotunity to roll out of the way an draw his sword jus as it passed over him and then stabbed upwards with it finishing the job the arrow had started. It crashed to the ground and spit out a red rupee. He didnt waste his time and scooped it up and pocketed it. He then started off for the ranch once more curious to find out what else he could about his home.

[I am very, very sorry if I'm not doing this right, but I figured I had best start role-playing or people would think I'm dead or something. =P ]

Elily strayed on, her feet quite worn out. Aurora was floating behind her, occasionally circling her playfully. It had been days since Aurora and her had left the clearing near the Great Deku Tree. There honestly was no other choice. If she didn't leave she would have perished eventually, though she felt bad for abandoning the Great Deku Tree which she grew to love since childhood.

The food that they had brought along with them, had finished the day before, and as she walked on, she felt terribly famished. In front of her, a large plain of grass stretched. There was no way she could obtain any food from there, unless she ate grass.

((That's fine Glass, I'm sure you'll do a great job in this RP. If you need any info from me or anything feel free to ask.))

Anjiel nodded at Maya before climbing back onto Kolomar's back. "I see a storm brewing mother, I'm going to search the field for any more travellers, I'll be back soon." Malon nodded and watched Anjiel gallop out of the ranch.

The grass was crushed under Kolomar's feet as he stormed through the field. Anjiel didn't know why, but she felt like someone important was going to be out here. She was drawn towards the dying Forest's entrance and she was shocked to see a Kokiri child walking tiredly out of its entrance. She knew it was a Kokiri child by its green clothes, and by the fairy trailing behind it. Kolomar slowed down and Anjiel leapt of the horse and carefully walked towards the child, "Are you a child of the Kokiri Forest?" she asked nervously, she hoped this wasn't a Skull Child's trap.
