Name: Merlin
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Default job: Berserker
Personality: Passive, and thoughtfull. Has the tendency to outburst his opinion, even when he better not ought to. He most difficultly let others see his real self. Usually grim, edging to sarcastic. Er... well, it is difficult to explain.
Looks: Has long, light-brown hair, dark-brown eyes which have the tendency to make others uncomfortable. Unconsciously, Merlin has that result with a lot of people. Wears a comfortable robe, with pants underneath and eventually some bracers.
Other: Merlin seems to have a tragedy he carries with him. His features are lined and sometimes look too old for his age. He is the son of a leadsman. He has two half-brothers. He also is quite a strategist.
Are you willing to post at least once a week?: Yes.
Anything else: Uhh...Turie?

[x]Name:
Rosa-Christie Rouge

[~]Age:
18

[x]Gender:
Female

[~]Default job:
Samurai

[x] Personality:
Rosa Christie is loud and bubbly on the outside, but like most people, on the inside she is self-conscious and relies on the affection of others to get her through the day.

Rosa-Christie some times hurts some body else,
with words or with weapons, just to please the crowd and become more popular with her fellow peers. She hates it when she does these things but, like most, cannot resist the lure of being liked.

[~]Looks:
Rosa has a very envied head of thick, raven black hair that tumbles appealingly about her shoulders in soft curls. It is normally pulled back into a high pony tail, tied with a pure white ribbon, chosen by Rosa just to create contrast. But if some one thought Rosa had contrast with her ribbon, they didn't pay attention to her skin.

She has very pale white skin, seemingly smooth and unblemished, with a small blush of pink on each cheek, as though she were wearing rouge. Her eyes are a rather unexpectingly bland colour of brown, almond shaped and framed with long, sweeping lashes. Her eyebrows arch majestically above them giving her an almost permamently suprised look.

Rosa is a naturally tall person, not over-tall but standing above most others by a few centimetres. Her legs are long, but her also long torso does nothing for them. Rosa normally wears a tightly fitted top and rather baggy trousers, preffering her top-half to her bottom-half, she is likely to show it off more.

[x]Other [about your character]:
None yet...let me think.

[~]Are you willing to post at least once a week?:
I have been deprived of roleplay for....almost three weeks, I'll let you think about that one

[x]Anything else:
Turie

1. Yes, it's correct.

2. Okay! ^_^

[I'll start.]

BANG! AAAH! She fell, but was fast enough to grab the windowsill. She dared herself to take a peek down. Dangling from the third floor, it had been a mistake to look down. The girl cringed. She had been too careless. How could she? Messing up on an important mission was always never an option for her.

She looked back onto the ground, still clutching on the sill. Her target had disappeared. She closed her eyes and cursed in frustration. She was so stupid, she shouldn't have stood up so high at the window and gave away her position. Before she had a chance to shoot at her target, his sharp eyes spotted her, and struck first. She was shot before she could shoot. Twice, actually. She cursed herself at how vulnerable she was. This wasn't like her at all.

Two sharp pangs of pain reminded her of where she had been hit. Her right wrist, and the right of her abdomen. This was not good...her grip loosen. The pain took over her determination, and she let go...and fell...down...

...down...

WHAM! More blinding pain. She opened her eyes slowly, her foggy vision sharpening.

It was...just a dream. More like a nightmare.

Elily groggily shook her senses awake. She felt the fuzzy carpet under her, unlike the grass she was expecting to crash her fall. There was no pain whatsover, much to her relief. Her vision restored. Elily got up, feeling rather foolish. She looked around her room, at her three other room mates, wondering if they heard or saw. They were still asleep. Or at least seemed to be asleep. Maybe they were pretending to be asleep?

Elily shook her head. This wasn't the time to be wondering about that. She had to get ready for the day.

Stepping into the cold tiled floor of the attached bathroom, Elily gingerly turned on the tap and splashed cold water all over her face. That hadn't been a very nice dream at all. Failing a mission, or even messing up in the process. Every assasin's nightmare.

Wait a minute, she wasn't even an assasin yet. Yet.

Elily lathered some toothpaste on her toothbrush, and brushed her teeth, the memories of the nightmare still surrounding her mind in a fog. She didn't think about anything else as she took a shower either. Or when she dressed up for the day. Or when she tied up the many criss-crossing thin strings of her top to her neck. Or when she tied her cloak on. Or when she combed her hair and pinned it up to its usual fashion.

Finally putting the nightmare to the back of her mind, Elily exited the bathroom, feeling ready for the day. She glanced at the clock hung at the wall, and almost screeched.

She was late! She was late! Breakfast in the dining hall! She didn't know about her room mates, if they already left, she didn't bother to see. Elily grabbed her two guns and backpack and yanked open the door. Wasting no time, she made haste in hurrying down to the other block.

[In case you didn't realise, this isn't the first day of school. We're considered regulars already. Just bunk up with anyone you like, but then keep it to four per room.]

[Your character can be already friends with a few other characters if you like, to avoid the same old scenes where everyone introduces themselves to everyone else.]

[Does this take place after we have already been chosen?]

Left foot over, right foot back; heel up, heel down, toes up, leap.

The dance steps went through her mind as she walked them through, leaping lightly into the air but falling not as gracefully as Karmina liked. She shook her head. It wasn't good enough; she'd have to go over it again.

As she went over the steps for the fifth time in a row, the automatic lights began to dim and flicker off. The sun was rising into a pale, wispy dawn, with wet, weak light entering the large dance room. The cool morning fell onto the cold wooden floor boards. It was a large, round room with mirrors all around and a glass dome above. A piano stood to one side and speakers were hooked up near the ceiling. When the music was set, it filled the whole room, such as now.

A gentle rendition of a lullaby was playing and a lean girl was dancing to it. She finished with a smooth curtsey and stood there, quite still, before standing up again. Satisfied, she went over to the wall and tapped thrice on it.

The wall hummed a little before a screen appeared out of nowhere onto the surface of the wall and she spoke to it. She thought carefully. "Ballad of the Lost Mermaids, please," she ordered. The screen flickered off and where it had been was just a wall again. Old technology, she thought to herself, shaking her head and imagining the professional equipment they had at home. This was ancient stuff.

Karmina moved into the centre of the room, readying herself. There was silence before the strains of an instrument was heard and the rushing of waves crashed against the ocean rocks. She moved swiftly.

There was just enough time to practice this once before breakfast, she thought, turning a double pirouette.

Andy stared at the deep abyss at the bottom of the canyon, if he can't catch catch him now, he probably never will. The target was fast speeding away from him and thoughts of the reward tempted Andy to get him by hook or by crook.

He took out his gun, scanned the target closely and fired a shot. With a "BANG", he saw the bullet zoom at blinding speeds and hit the target in the knee! Just what he expected, the target fell down with a thud!

"Mission complete, game over" the machine boomed.

Andy took off his 3D goggles and placed them on the mini simulator, which was situated in the room. He brought it along to improve his shooting skills and sometimes for entertainment, as he couldn't shoot whoever he pleases in real life.

He looked at the clock and noticed that was was late! He hadn't expected a 15-minute game to last an hour! He grabbed his real gun and dashed to the dining room as soon as possible.

Rosa-Chrisite sat up suddenly in bed. She looked around with fuzzy vision, the room was dark, it must still be early. Just as she lay down again, Rosa caught sight a white line round the window.

She jumped up, and ran over, wrenching back the curtains, and being almost blinded in the process.
"It's too bright!!" Rosa shouted, covering her eyes.
She turned, and rubbed both of her eyes clear of sleep. She could see properly now, and the mirror didn't show too pretty a sight.

Rosa's hair looked as though a pot of gel had gone into making it stand straight up, her eyes were slits as though she was still sleeping, and her night clothes on back to front. After a feeble attempt with a brush, Rosa brought the curls back to her shoulders, and changed into some clothes.

It seemed sunny outside, so why not put on shorts....wait, her legs were far to pale for that, so Rosa decided to put on her 'proper' uniform. Normally she would just prefer baggy trousers and a top, but this was somthing spectacular.

The material was black silk, edged and decorated with silver thread. It just touched the floor on the front and back, but there was no dress on either side. It rounded at the top of Rosa's thigh, and went on to be a tight satin corset of sorts, underneath the corset she wore a plain white blouse. The effect was startling, the contrast between the two colours made Rosa some one hard to miss.

Rosa walked over, her plimsoled feet padding against the wooden floor, to her chest. She opened the drawer carefully and took out a long box about 1 and a half metres long. She placed it on the bed and clicked open the catches, removing the silk bag within.

Rosa pulled on the tassle and slid the silk down along the silver blade untill it was out long enough for her to grip the handle. A beautiful handle at that, made of the rare white oak, and with carvings for decoration and grip. The blade itself was very long, and curved slightly, sharpened so that it cut through the air..and anything else Rosa might care to swing at.

She stood, staring at the blade for a moment, before jolting out of the transe and running out of the room.
"I'm gonna be late!" She muttered, slamming the door behind.

A single feather's glow trapped in a red glass vial iluminanted the book that Aki's gaze lay upon . It's glow was mutted from the morning light that had already crept into the room . Unaware of Andy's dillema (or anyone's elses for that matter) Aki continued reading. After all, It wouldn't be fair to leave Kyle to brave the mystrious city alone, now would it?

"BANG! ....Mission complete game over" thundered the 3-D simulator. Just loud enough to knock Aki out of his reading-trance.

"eh?" Mumbled a disorented Aki, as he flicked off his glasses and shoved them into a pocket in his pants.
"what's the...hurrry?"
Andy Never heard Aki's question, he was already out the door.

Thud...thud...thud..thud...

The door slowly inched closed, and the sound of Andy's footsteps died away.

Raising himself off the bed, Aki started to work out the soreness in his back from crouching over in that position for hours.
He started to, because his eyes caught sight of the oh-so-evil clock perched like a raven on his nightstand. Rather than numbers, all Aki saw in neon green leters was
YOUR LATE.

Yelping like he'd just been bitten by a snapping turtle, Aki snached his vial of phoenix down he'd used as a night light and stuffed it in it's propper place on his belt. As gently as he could manage so he wouldn't break any vials, Aki slung his belt over the coat he'd wisley donned beforehand.

Pheonix down, antidote, potions, ether....

Aki tapped his fingures over each of the vials to make sure he had all of his vials.
Everythings in place...whoo...
A molmentary pause was Aki's only reward for keeping his vial's in place.

Closeing his book with a loud SLAM, Aki crammed his book into a drawer in his nightstand, while grabing his backpack. He slowed down his frantic pace, only to gently place the one-strap backpack on his shoulder. The materials in his backpack were far more precious and dangerous than the ones on his belt. His belt carried only his basics, within easy reach for a mixing should there be need.

But like a black mage whose strongest punch came from the same place her magic did, Aki's biggest punch were the varrying vials, and bottles in his backpack. Very Dangerous stuff indeed.

Tapping his googles, Aki paused.
He was forgeting something..something impot- HIS GUN!
IDIOT! He snarled at himself, about to leave the room without your gun? FOOL!

Aki snatched the important object and hurried to attach it to the holster on his leg just so...

DONE, Alright! I'm outta here! BREAKFAST!

Thud...thud...thud..thud...

The sound of Aki's boots fadded as the door shut behind him, or rather a bit later because by the time the door shut, Aki had rounded sevral corners.

A bang erupted next to Merlins head. He jumped up, his neck aching painfully from an uncomfortable sleeping position. Merlin slowly turned his head, noticing an elder lady standing next to him, known as madam Sevré.

"It is breakfast time, young man Merlin!"

She had slammed a food plate on the table just next to him.

"I hope you will not make a habit of sleeping in the dining hall."

Merlin groaned softly, but answered, "thank you for waking me up in time, Madam."

She smiled shortly and returned to her business.

Merlin shifted on his chair, he noticed other students were coming in.

The other room doors seem to speed past by as Elily ran, her feet thudding on the floor. She made a sharp turn, and ALMOST crashed into another student, she didn't notice who, who apparently was late as well. Elily dodged, and ran all the way down the stairs.

She ran out of the girls' dormitory block and onto the grounds. Her lungs were burning by then, and she was getting tired. Still, she continued running, her senses no longer very alert, as she started bumping into a few other evidently late students. A particularly hard bump into one student sent her flying down. Elily got up slowly, and muttered a word of apology, before stumbling her way into the dining hall.

[The student I bumped into wasn't directed to anyone in particular. Anyone who wants to be the student may feel free to volunteer. :P ]

Mina was up long before the sun.

She had a habit of going to bed late, then only getting a few hours worth of sleep so that she was awake around four or five o'clock in the morning. However, she had never found this to be too much of a problem. In fact, she quite enjoyed being up early. The silence of the rest of the school sleeping around her was comforting. Sometimes she would creep out of the room in her pajamas and go prowl the campus. Doing this had proven to be quite entertaining.

This morning she had been debating on whether or not she ought to leave her room and go find an empty classroom to train in or something, but she had ended up deciding not to. The last time she had tried to train by herself in the early hours of the morning, she had been in the midst of practicing one of her newest attack strategies when she had heard soft footsteps just outside the door of the classroom she was in. She had hurried to the door and flung it open just in time to see the last of someone disappearing around a corner down the hall. She hadn't gone after them, but had decided to be much more careful next time. She didn't like people spying on her while she was training, or doing anything, for that matter.

So instead of training this morning, Mina had just sat in bed and gazed around the room for about two hours. It wasn't quite as interesting or fun as training, but it did let her discover that one of her roommates talked in her sleep.

Finally, at six thirty or so, Mina noticed that it was just starting to get ever so slightly lighter outside. She got up and dressed herself, feeling quite awake and anxious to get out of the room. She brushed her teeth, combed and braided her hair, then went to fetch her gear. This consisted of a sandy colored belt which held her sword in its sheath, plus a number of pockets that held various different powders and potions and things. Strapping this around her waist, she felt ready. Careful not to awaken her still sleeping roommates, she quietly unlocked the door, slipped out of the room, and began heading down toward the dining hall.

( :x Ugh, I suppose I don't need to tell any of you that I'm severely out of practice. That post did it all for me.)

Malea sat in the dining room reading a book. She had been up very earley that day. Slowly, people came in. One by one, they sat down. She made it a habbet not to be to social. She knew some people, and smiled at them. She was hoping to be a little more friendly later in life.

Menai dragged herself out of the room as she slipped into her shoes and tried to comb her hair at the same time, her eyes still threatening to close. After a few attempts to break through the hard knots in her red hair (and not succeeding,) she ripped the comb out of the middle of an particularly large tangle and flung it back through the open doorway behind her. Before she had shut the door, she heard something being knocked down from a table. Praying to herself that it wasn't a roommate's possession, she started forcing her still-tired feet to shuffle slowly towards the smell of bacon and eggs. Yum. And milk. Yuck.

Iaran lay in her room her eyes, mere slits, were scanning the room silently. She watched as her roommate, Elily, groggily get up and head into the bathroom. Silently, Iaran tiptoed over to the closet and quietly pulled on her bikini and miniskirt. Grabbing her boots and detached sleeves, she sat on her bed before carefully putting them on.

Grabbing her gloves, scarf, daggers and backpack, Iaran slipped out the window and climbed into a tree before putting her remaining accessories on and checking everything was in her backpack. She ran a brush through her hair and spent the next 10 minutes tieing it into braids and attaching beads to the braids.

Only spending half an hour getting ready (a record for most people), Iaran silently snuck through the shadows until she reached the dining hall.

* * * *

Securing herself a seat at the table, Iaran quietly ate breakfast and watched the other students enter the hall. Chuckling loudly, she snuck up behind Elily and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hi Elily! Geez, you took ages to get ready! But don't worry! I won't tell anyone that you snore!" Giggling hyperly, she began laughing at her own stupidity. "Whoops! I guess i just did, didn't I?" After amusing herself, she sat back down, and smiled at the weird stares she was getting from people.

((Okay, was that okay? And a warning to other characters, Iaran is really, really hyper! Oh and i'm sorry for dumping my hyperactive character in your room Elily *runs away as Elily chases her with her guns*))

Karmina's nose twitched as she held her wrist up. Yes, the perfume was working, thank goodness. There was little more embarassing to the girl than to smell of sweat, fresh or stale. Glad to have asked for another bottle to cover that smell after dancing as a birthday present, she let her hand drop to her side as she strolled into the dining hall.

One of her favourite past-times was to secure a comfortable seat at a small table in the nook of a corner before many people had entered the hall. It was her "special" table - an old-fashioned, rickety wooden one. Few people liked sitting there so she was more often alone, but no one ever seemed to notice her in that tucked-away, hidden corner. Or perhaps they did and thought "she's a loner" to themselves, then proceeding to politely ignore her. Neither possibility caused her any care or worry. It was nice to have a neat breakfast alone. There was a splendid view of the natural world outside with yet another magnificent view of the entrance to the hall.

Karmina was the type of girl to "Turie-watch" and learn little quirks about people. There was that boy who fell asleep more often than not, that girl who was always late, a pair of bookworms who walked about as though their feet were in the clouds - and oh, who could forget? That particularly small girl who had a wide grin plastered on her face permanantly. What was perhaps more frightening than the strange effect it had was that it seemed she really was cheerful and her smile was true. All the same, it wasn't very human to never be sad and most people avoided her. Karmina often felt sorry for the girl although it was completely unnecessary - she had developed some kind of philosophy of life that caused her to be so joyful.

She ate daintily, careful to watch what she had partaken of and thus to watch her weight and figure. Although she did not care that much about how pretty she might be (or ugly, for that matter), she did care that she was light enough to dance well.

Chewing her way through some toast and margarine, she observed the teachers who seemed to be arguing over something or other. She wondered what the debate was this morning. They were arguing over something everyday - last week it was whether cows' milk would look more appetising if it appeared chocolate-coloured but not taste like chocolate. Probably they were talking about the chosen students today. A flutter of hope reached her heart before she could stop it. Would she be one? No, she told herself firmly. None of that nonsense. Be sensible. Think normally. Think toast.
