Pink Poogle Toy Forum

As in my last post, I'm still working on my human style in art. After being sick for two weeks I finally sketched something that I felt was decent - I don't know, there's just something about the expression that I like. And before anyone guesses wrong and makes a fool out of themselves because of the ambiguity, it's a guy. Yes, he's a girly guy, but he IS a guy. He's one of my friend's characters. ^^

Wow that's really nice! Girly guy eh? Everyone loves those... I think... although I must admit... I thought it was a girl... you know those things how they say... it's either a really pretty guy or an ugly girl? I think it's both a pretty guy and girl!

First off, he's beautiful!! You've got a very good knack for drawing bishounen. You're making me swoon at work! His hair is very well done, very realistic looking. I love the sheen. I agree that his expression is wonderful. He looks like he's quietly concerned yet at the same time kinda...I don't know, happy? Concern without extreme worry, perhaps? That's just what his expression kind of says to me, and I really like it.

There is something about his shoulders/arms that doesn't quite look right to me. I'm not sure if it's that the shoulder look a little too sloped, or what, but they look just a little off. The angle on his left arm make it look like it is smaller rather than just hidden a bit more behind him as well. But you know what? It still looks great. I love the jewel over his chest as well.

Ledi, I do think I remember some of your older stuff, and you really are improving leaps and bounds. Your older work was very good, but this is even better. Way to go. ^_^v

Go me! I knew it was a bishounen when I first saw it. That's what I get for paying so much attention to my daughter's manga and anime interests.

He is beautiful. And looks very much like a guy to me. A very pretty guy, but a guy nonetheless.

His eyes are so expressive. To me, he is in reflective thought that is a touch sad to him. And, the hair. So wonderfully drawn.

Mylene is right about the shoulders. His look tinier than mine. I would think a boy would have a bit wider shoulders. However, they don't detract from the drawing.

Wonderful drawing, Ledi. I will have to show my daughter, Nat. My guess is that she will swoon just like Mylene. And will want to print it out and stick it up on her wall with all of the other pretty boys she has up there.

Wow. Wow. Wow. That's one of the prettiest men I've ever seen. Great work! I especially love his hair shines and the folds in his clothes!

Oh, and the main reason that the only thing that's getting put up is sketches? My computer is being a pain, and my new one is a large paperweight at the moment. :: glares at it :: So my tablet is currently useless and my desk is a mess with two open computers and lots and lots of cords.

Wish me luck today, because I'm going to be trying some more sketches. ^^ I have a few hours to try and fill in and I haven't drawn anything since this sketch. If I can resist the lure of Shadow Hearts, I'll be fine.
