Pink Poogle Toy Forum

I recently joined an art guild, and did a pic of their mascot for them...feedback please? ^^

I'm not quite sure what it is, but something doesn't sit quite right for me regarding this picture. It almost seems a little too 2-D perhaps? No, that's not it. It's very nice, but I think I preferred your Tooth Faerie much more. By the way, what color is this Zafara? Is it a guild creation? It looks a bit like an off-color fire plus faerie mix.

On the other hand, I really like the background. 'Tis very pretty. Although I think it clashes a little with the coloration of the mascot. And my husband just pointed out that perhaps the background is a bit too out of focus and that might be what's making the mascot itself look a little too flat, and I think he has a point. When I try to keep my eyes from looking at the background, the animal seems to have more depth than when I take in the image as a whole.

Please take my comments with a grain of salt. I'm not an artist, so I'm pretty clueless when it comes to figuring out what it is about an image that doesn't look quite right to me. ^_-

unfortunatly it's supposed to be a bori, but from what i've seen them do with it, that's pretty much how they make it look o.o..and their guild is called "paint the sky red"..so i figured a sky background..I don't normally do backgrounds..

Okay, knowing that really helps. For some reason I got it stuck in my head that it was a Zafara, and it really just didn't look right.
