Startled: A centaur and a guy with a donkey head

There is a story...or perhaps half a story behind this but it's so long and involved that even I don't know what the other half is. *sigh* I'll never be a writer. Just take it how it is: A centaur and a guy with a donkey head meet on the road. They are startled. Very startled.

It reminds me Midsummer's Night Dream for some reason. The expressions are cute and I think it's really funny that they are both have equine and half human. The detail and the coloring is great!

The upper part of the centaurs right back leg should meld a bit more... with it's body. It looks too skinny.
As well the left hind leg on the centaur looks a bit off. the upper muscle groups above the knee look too lumped together; they should be smoother.
*shrug*
Looks good otherwise. I'm just nitpicky with horses.
I like the clothes on Donkey boy.

Thanks Ahoteinrun. I thought you might have some input concerning the centaur. The back legs were giving me some trouble so I kind of know what you're talking about.

In the story I wish to write, the reference is supposed to be really obvious

Hehehe, their expressions are funny. I love the coloring, it's awesome, like all your other pictures.

The trees look cool, too. Only thing I have to say is, I'm pretty sure a guy's chest doesn't go down that low. And I think his arms are too short or something. Otherwise, it's an aaaawesome pic. ^_^

According to the men that i've drawn in my figure drawing course, chests do go that low.
His arms... are probably a bit short; theres no elbow on the left forearm; and the forearm itself should have a more rounded and well defined muscle mass.

If you want I could scrounge a reference pic for the horse for you, or do a blue line. (horse body I should say). *pats*
