wow! nifty....scary, but nifty.

Myress... I intended the scariness.
I went WAAY overboard on the scars - usually I only draw one or two on Oak - but they're all supposed to be there.

(Note to self: Never draw equines from the front again).

Reference pictures are always a good idea. (Even I have issues drawing horses from the front without a ref.) But otherwise not bad. You should find safe pictures (ie, not horrid ones) of horses with scars to look at how they actually scar. I'd get some of my arab (he was an abuse victim) but he does not like posing for the camera. (On that note, nor does he ever honestly stand still.... hmmm).

Anyways.
If you just break down your ref into basic shapes (like circles and squares and lines... oh my!) you can get yourself a better basic picture of what a horses head should be. (i'll explain more if you wish).

It's not too bad from the front. (If you don't mind, I'd like to see the rest of that conversation...)
