PREPARATION:
Coffee (lots of it), unplug the phone and allow yourself a few hours to spend on this game.
ABOUT:
This game is extremely annoying and can get very tedious at times, but it is very simple to play and as long as you have the patience (and time) you can easily earn yourself a shiny new trophy.
First off, prepare yourself to sit in front of your computer for about 3 hours (no that is not a typo, i did say 3 hours!) because this game is so easy and there is no “winning” involved the scores on the high-score table are ridiculously high.
AIM OF THE GAME:
You have been left in charge of mad old Mrs. Williams’s petpets and to earn your pocket money you must take good care of them and the house. When the petpets need something a symbol of some kind will appear above their head and a counter will start counting down (this never starts at less than 10) They will also make some kind of noise and its very helpful in the later stages of the game if you begin to recognise the different sounds so that you can easily identify the species of petpet in need of help.
QUICK GUIDE TO THE SYMBOLS:
zzz – petpet is tired and needs sleep, put it in the bedroom in the top right-hand corner.
Tongue sticking out – petpet is hungry, put it in the kitchen on the left-hand side wall to feed it.
Sweat drops – Petpet is dirty (or needs the toilet) put it in the bathroom on the right-hand side wall.
Wagging tail/ears or waving arms – Petpet is bored, put it in the garden in the top left-hand corner.
Robots – All robot petpets only use the garage for maintenance which is in the middle of the top wall.
To move a petpet simply click on it with the mouse and drag to the desired door.
And finally, the mop is situated at the bottom of the game window you can use this to clean up any messes the petpets make. Simply click and drag to clean up.
SCORING:
You get 10 points for every petpet that you correctly place.
You get 10 points for every mess that you clean up.
You lose 5 points for every petpet you place in the wrong room.
You lose 5 points for every mess that the petpets create.
GUIDE:
(Finally!) When you start, the game is pretty quick, so don’t worry too much about the messes the petpets make. Just concentrate on getting them to the right room before the timer runs out. Keep to this plan until you hit around 1300 points and then the game starts to slow down a bit. (If you are just playing for neopoints, you can stop now as you should have reached the 1000 NP mark. If you are playing for the avatar, then you need to score 2500. If you are trying for a trophy then read on!)
Once you have noticed that the petpets aren’t quite as demanding as before then it is time to start boosting your points by cleaning.
Sometimes the petpets knock into the milk (top left corner), bucket (top right corner) and plant (bottom left corner) when they do this you lose 5 points because of the mess it makes. But if you click and drag the mop over the mess it will get cleaned up and you gain 10 points (really you only gain 5 cos you already lost 5) Now a lot of people simply drag the mop over the mess and then let go of it. Don’t do this! Drag the mop and hold the button down, then simply hang about an area that seems to get constantly messy and every 1 second or so the petpets will knock it over and you will clean it up instantly.
While you are cleaning keep an eye out for any unhappy petpets and if you spot one who needs to be moved, simply release the mop and quickly place the petpet in the correct room. (note: sometimes the mop seems to stick, just double click to get rid of it)
As the game goes on and your points get higher, you will notice that there are many more petpets, but they don’t need as much attention as before. So you will spend most of your time cleaning up the messes, which is why it takes so long to get to trophy level. Especially once you get to around 10,000 points, you only seem to have to move the petpets once every few minutes.

Patience, patience, patience and a strong dose of insanity is all thats needed to win this game! 🙂
Don’t forget that it is possible to pause the game simply by right-clicking and selecting print.
