Okay, First of all I want to say that almost all the guides in this section involve games. Well, if you have a slow computer like some people, or are just not very good at games, here’s the guide for you.
(1) If you don’t have a shop MAKE ONE!! They help SO MUCH. I’ve gotten at LEAST 100,000 np over time selling little things that I don’t use in my shop.
(2) If you think about it… Why put something in your Safety Deposit Box? (Unless you’re waiting for a trade or something) All they’re going to do there is sit and rot. ROT ROT ROT!! I sold everything in my SDB and I got almost 50,000 np.
(3) Here’s a GIGANTIC ONE!! I know how to get things from the money tree almost every time. I’m reluctant to say this as it is my secret, but I will. Here are the VERY EASY steps:
-Check to see what Internet Browser you’re using. If you’re using Internet Explorer (Which most people are), you’ll notice that if you refresh a page when you’re scrolled halfway down, it will reload the page and automatically scroll down to the spot that you were in.
-Go to the money tree. The first time you load the page, don’t bother trying to get anything.
-Scroll down the page until you can see the first or second item in the list.
-Make a little mark on the screen where the SECOND item is. That’s not the one in the top left, but the one BESIDE it.
-Refresh the page and put your mouse on the little mark right away. Click as soon as you see ANY ITEM there. If you wait to see what it is, you’ll be too late. (If it’s something bad you can always re-donate it or discard it.)
Enjoy your item! This is NOT a GUARANTEED way to ALWAYS get items from the Money Tree but it works REALLY WELL!! I once got an item worth 75,000np (a Snorkle Snout) this way.
(4) Here’s another way to get semi-free stuff. It usually will only cost you a bad item and maybe 10 np. Go to the trading post and click on newest 20 “in the browse lots” section. look through them to see if any of them say FREE in the wish list. If they do, (this is where the bad item and the 10 np comes in,) offer the bad item, and a small amount of neopoints to close the deal in case someone else tried to offer only a bad item. Then, sell the item you get for free-ish.
**ONE HUGE TIP!! NEVER OFFER ON TERRIBLE ITEMS THAT NO ONE WILL EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING! THIS DOES NOT EARN YOU NP! YOU WILL MOST LIKELY LOSE NP BECAUSE YOU OFFERED NP, AND DIDN’T GET ANYTHING TO SELL!
(5) Another, that goes with all my tips so far, is always have a second Internet Browser Window open, with the Shop Wizard’s Page in it.
-This way, before you buy an item from a neopets.com shop, you can check to see if a user is selling it for cheaper.
-You can also use it to price items in your shop. Check to see how much other people are selling that item for, and sell yours for slightly lower so that it will appear at the top of the Shop Wizard list when the item is searched for. (The Shop Wizard’s list is in order of Lowest Priced to Highest Priced) **This tip also works for trading
-When shopping with the Shop Wizard, don’t always buy the first one on the first list you come up with. Copy the lowest priced item’s USERNAME, and refresh the page. if one comes up that’s cheaper, copy their username. If not, refresh again. Repeat this step as desired, and the lowest price you found, Paste the Username into the “Search Neopets” Box on the left toolbar. Enter that User’s shop and Buy the item! This Method has saved me thousands of neopoints.
(6) Around the Neopets World (or Explore) there are lots of things that you can do for free every day that can win you things. Here’s a short list of the ones that I do, but I’m sure if you look around, there’s plenty more than what I have said:
Lost Desert: Coltzan’s Shrine, Fruit Machine
Meridell/Brightvale: Grumpy Old King, Wise Old King, **for the king ones, just put in random words. You’re more likely to win from what I’ve tried**
Turmaculus, **MAY EAT YOUR PETPET**
Faerieland: Healing Springs –> Heal my Pets
Mystery Island/Geraptiku: Tombola, Deserted Tomb
Tyrannia: Free Omelette!
(7) NEVER EVER EVER create more accounts to get more neopoints and items. I had my first account (with 4 painted pets and 600,000np) FROZEN because of this. Neopets Staff WILL CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT! THEY’RE NOT KIDDING AROUND!!
Keep your pets happy! My Friend had a Baby Chombie, and since she never played with it or fed it and it got unhappy, VERY unhappy, it became Blue. Emotionally Blue, and PHYSICALLY Blue. If you Don’t want your pet to turn blue, Keep it happy. **Okay, this isn’t NEOPOINTS but it’s IMPORTANT**
Doing all these things, (and playing some games, I’ll admit,) My sister and I’s account has more than 10,000,000np, four painted pets, the Pet AND Petpet Laboratory Map, and a VERY successful Horse Guild.
